OK. 1985 we lost the first three games by over 100 points and then won a thriller against Fitzroy at Waverley. Who played the last quarter of that match with a broken arm because we already had two injured players off the ground? This is a bit obscure so the clue is that after an absence from the VF...

Bill Cannon's dad had a column in one of the Sunday newspapers that predated Palmer's Punchlines. What was it called?

Just to clear things up:

The answer to "who was the guy I heard on the radio who's name is Ian?" is Bill Cannon.

Is that correct?

Riccardo and Milnedog, I think you are a little off track. The question was who has kicked nine goals, not seven. I would go with Lockett numerous times Everitt v cats 2000 Heatley v roos 97 round 14 Loewe at least once Winmar v Melbourne in 89 or 90 Gehrig loves playing the roos Reiwoldt v Demons l...

Way too early for Kickett and Fletcher. Riggs, Curtain and Frawley is correct. I remember Curtain for what must have been his only other game. Playing Hawthorn at Princes Park. In the last minutes of another drubbing he found himself on Lethal Leigh. When the siren went a condescending Matthew went ...

There has been a feast of 80's losses featured on fox footy today. Well only 2 actually.

1982 against Sydney at Moorabbin
1984 against Fitzroy at the Junction.

In the second game, who was wearing the following numbers:

16

I've been trying to log on for a day as kosi fan tutti but can't do it. Even created a new registration but that doesn't work for me.

So back to the questions.

The day we lost to the Bulldogs and Max cried, who was making their debut for the Saints?

I found a record from that year that lists him as 53 so I guess Len www can go ahead.

I think he played a few minutes in that classic game against Hawthorn at Moorabbin. Eight goals to nothing in the first quarter and still almost lost it.
