Re: Who needs a rest in the 2's?
If im resting anyone i think Long and Billings are the realistic targets with Stevens and Sinclair coming in. everyone was handball happy and billings im getting frustrated with his unwillingness to kick pisses me off. there was one moment where i thought this is his chance in traffic to get us out...

Re: Match thread v cats
Midfield class was the difference today, Selwood and co killed us in the second half. Gresham struggled today but such a disappointing game from Billings after last week, can't remember how many times he turned it over. Looking for a big response from him next week You are going to keep looking for...

Re: VFL Rd 1 Sandy vs Bombers
Right now on form Meatball should be in the seniors instead of Billings and today's performance proved it. If Billings plays another another poor game tomorrow waiting for the ball to come to him, he should be dropped.

Re: Spud and Dal on Paddy
Dean Grieg says hello!!!!! Hi Dean! My point was that if a player was a registered user then it would be against forum rules to attack them. Wouldn't matter if they read the forum. It seems odd IMO that the common decency we are supposed to show each other is not afforded to those that play the gam...

Jonesy that's gold.
For those that talk about Billings showing glimpses, well Fiora also showed glimpses for 8 years.

Re: Billings and mccartin
paddy will def be good for us in the long run but he will never be riewoldt. Probably more like josh kennedy. Billings on the otherhand needs to be traded. A HUGE mistake. Unfortunately, I never saw it in him and always thought he was overrated such as that bulldogs game where he apparently won the...

Re: Pick 1 & pick 3
the draft is a bit of a lottery. You're never t guaranteed a superstar. N the meantime these things can turn around. Every club except us had Petracca ahead of Paddy. Did our recruiters outsmart themselves? Petracca was/is that bloody good Trout tried to find faults. Petracca is too arrogant. Too s...

Acres should never be dropped again. Physically, he has some much going for him already. He's one of the few that has presence in our side.

I am shocked at how bad both of them have been today. Agree billings is virtually invisible And yet I got canned by Curly 2 weeks ago for watching him closely against Melbourne and making the same conclusion. The truth needs to be seen and told. Now more are seeing how poor Billings is. Simply not ...

McCartin and Billings have been extremrly disappointing. At least McCartin gives it 100% and has some excuse re poor delivery. Billings is invisible. Billings attack on the ball reminds me of Aaron Fiora. He is bitterly disappointing at this stage of his career. Oh god, don't say it...I was thinkin...

Petracca is a year behind because he had an acl first year
Exactly. He has had ample time to date. I'm watching Petracca and Cripps right now. They are miles ahead in the way they win their own ball and in the way they have developed physically.

Re: Billings
We took Lenny Hayes at no. 11 and it took him a good 4 years to play at the top level we got used to. A lot are quick to forget and quick to condemn, eh George? That is true. Hayes was good at 22. And then dominated when he turned 23. At 21 he was very ordinary. True but his hardness at the ball wa...

I'm trying to be patient with Billings, but I'm not seeing enough signs often enough. Other than that one quarter against the Bulldogs he's never really taken the game by the scruff of the neck and really dominated. The Bulldogs had run out of legs in that game and in that last quarter he had space...

Re: Billings
IF you want to be a good player at this level you have to be able to get into the game - Billings is good when the game comes to him, I have yet to see him make a difference on his own. So I sort of agree with the post. Thank you. You expect a hell of a lot more from a number 3 who has now been in ...

Had to mention this guy on TFS tonight. He is seriously a gun of a player. Love watching him and didn't realize he is that short. Bulldogs got a ripper in him. Seems a great kid and only 20 still.

Well you know I can't blame the guy. He has been excellent all last year as a defender and so professional in his preparation, so imagine how anyone would feel when he gets overlooked for both Carlisle and Brown. They were both pretty poor and second efforts were few and far between. Our coach has ...

Yes good on Fergus but it does help when you have a wealthy father to back you up.
