Re: Battle

Looks like he'll walk straight into a multiple premiership team. Their only weakness is on one half back flank - soon to be fixed.

Perhaps Ross should start reading a couple of chapters of the Bible each day.

With 80 seconds left and score tied, Barry Breen grabbed the ball and kicked a point, in a game a long time ago.

Petracca says he wants to play in front of big crowds, so I guess cuts us out.

Re: Votes v Blues

Funny game, I thought Carlton had at least 4 of the best 5 on the ground and that their effort at the ball was slightly greater than that ours, but in the end, our turnovers proved less costly. 3. Jack Sinclair. 2. Zak Jones. 2. Rowan Marshall 2. Darcy Wilson. 2. Mattaes Phillipou. 1. Hunter Clark. ...

This includes Byrnes and Clark
In 2007, Geelong had 16 players who could kick both sides. Unlike Clarke, Byrnes could not kick both sides when he started, but has clearly worked on it, so much so that his goal was on the left.

Re: Dan Butler

He knew that the tap on against Geelong was going to a Saints player. Yesterday, he didn't know who was behind him - so that issue was, grab it and run the risk of being caught on the turn, or tap the ball forward and hope as Saints player is there to contest. Easier to decide in hindsight.

Umpiring was OK. We got a few iffy ones in the first half as did they in the second half.

A fluke goal at the end won it for us. But I expect Port to beat Freo.

Maybe it's a secret game plan. Lull them into a false sense of security and then - whammo! Hit with them with the rhythm sticks of the Harlem Globetrotters.

Re: WTF

To this side you can add Windhager, Crouch, King, Henry and Phillipou. I'd scratch Crouch from that list. Unless he gets himself a bionic knee. And King, unless he finds a way to chase and put defensive pressure on his opponent when he hasn't got the ball. Our best wins have been without him.

He goes at the ball unlike Paddy Dow who just seems to stand there and watch his opponent get it. He just seems to lack energy at the ball.

He looks too slow and short and, as we saw, couldn't bend down to pick up the ball. But I suppose he is being tested before the end of the season.

He was one of the last picked at the Saints as he is at the Suns. No great loss.
