couldn't ever imagine calling my kid Farren.

Sebastian is pretty bad too. Up the same tree as Francis, Gabriel, etc..

Thank God for the Aussie wit, and depth of thought, when giving out far more bearable nicks like "Seb".

Re: Billy Hartung article

Not saying he looks the best, but definitely enjoyed his highlights the most. Love his approach. I wish we had more than just pick 3 in the top 20..... oh that's right! If we could select 3 players with those picks, that our recruiters rated in the top 10-12, we'd be on our merry way. Hopefully Hart...

Re: Brett Ratten

holly burnt crepes... i always forget about Gibbs being a number 1 pick.

That is disgusting that Carlton had 3 number one picks in a row and have never looked like pushing for a flag.

Thankfully they didn't select Pendlebury, Selwood and Cotchin.

Re: Bit sick of the vilification of Chris Pelchen

Dermie has a TV show? I guess that's what people resort to when they're old, drunk, and have children that think they're boring as shiite? I never new some brain-dead ex-footballer, milking past fame for all it's worth, would be considered by some as achieving. Because we all know he'd be on the air...

Re: Mark Thompson to coach saints in 2015?

Would prefer Ross Lyon back. I crossed paths with Thompson once, he seemed like such a joyless individual. Not that has anything to do with coaching ability. But geez, is he passionate about anything? Has he ever instigated a joke before in his life? I always admired and fed off passionate coaches,...

To Hell and Back.

A Hellish Year.

Sanctify Yourself.

And what about this quote, "Life holds only one tragedy: not to have been a Saint” . Too dark?

Or we could lighten it up for a membership slogan... No Regrets: Be a Saint

Re: Avaliable jumper numbers

I kind of want Curren to make a name for himself in #43. For sure. 40s numbers are underrated (maybe because I watch a lot of ice hockey). I'd take any of the 40s numbers (except 48 for some reason) over numbers such as 1, 3, 5, 8, 11, 15 (numbers I don't fancy). Imagine if we got Billings and he t...

Re: Picks 18 to 25 - pot luck?

First one I looked at... 2008... picks 26-32/// Jayden Post, Sam Wright, Dayne Beams, Daniel Hannerbery, Jordan Roughead, Liam Jones

No matter what draft you look at, it's pretty damn random. Hopefully we finally get a stroke of great luck.

Re: Pick 3- who will we take?

If we got Kelly and Hartung, we could possibly have the hardest working midfield in the comp one day. Though Billings... geez... possibly turn into one of those damaging players that tear the hearts out of opposition fans in a 30 second burst on Grand Final day. Don' worry about a team that can make...

Gringo is right, second most important apart from Roo. At his peak, an absolute elite player. Best player for us over the last 10 years? 1. Roo 2. Hayes 3. Fisher 4. Milne 5. Goddard/Dal Santo Would that be fair? I would probably have Montagna in there rather than Milne… I'd put Monty after Dal and...

Re: Dal To North via Free Agency

I agree but there are people within the club that have set agendas for what they want to achieve. This whole Pelchen/Bains plan is beginning to remind me of the film Moneyball. Ahhh! That's what it was. Had a strange familiarity about it, the whole underdog team/list management thing. (Loved the Mo...

Smooth, classy, tidy footballer. Would be a great role model for clean, crisp footy.

Biggest waste of talent I've seen in my time watching the game. He still did achieve some pretty rare moments on the field. I'll continue the "what if's" and say that had he played in the 80s/90s, he'd probably be the all time leading goal-kicker. Seriously... http://www.youtube.com/watch...

Simon Black playing on next year?

What a player he has been. A mid 20s Simon Black would be well suited to the congested footy of today. His release handballs were the best I've seen.

Re: FFS Dimwit. Swans salary cap is a joke!

The best deal a player has struck in history, surely? and then some?

Can't help but think he isn't nearly worth it. Maybe a 24 year old Ablett Jnr. Maybe a 21 year old Riewoldt.

Franklin is very entertaining, but doesn't seem nearly as imposing as he use to be.

Jay Clark @ClarkyHeraldSun Meanwhile, Bulldogs purchase shoe shine. North Melbourne build lemonade stand. #equality ...
