Re: Game day...I'm looking forward to it
Thank God Lenny didn't retire. Even if he only plays 3 games, at least we'll see a few contested possies this season

We're not the only team that has had to play outdoors, but shiiiiit... it seems like a bad result either way (likely injuries or no hit-out)

Re: crazy trading
Ben's game against Carlton early in last season was IMMENSE. I was excited. Didn't really see it again. Hope he wins a flag with the Hawks (especially if it means Cats, Pies, Freo miss out). Let's see how things play out. I'm very comfortable with our trading, yet somewhat sad considering Ben loved ...

7. Gary Hocking - Dirty dog with a poodle mullet. Always seemed to praised for being a "gutsy", but was a total receiver for mine. Won't forget that time when he took a cheap shot at Danny Craven. Of course he never took on anyone his own size. Glad he never got a premiership medal. Shoul...

I wouldn't have a clue what's happening down at the Saints, but I'm fully aware of the difference within a big group when they have a leader they respect and look up to. Still gotta be a hard-ass, but legitimate individuals prefer honesty and want to push themselves. It would be great to see a good ...

brings a tear to the eye!
Taylor is my hero when it comes to rock n roll! And him joining 'em on this tour is just MUSIC to my ears.

Re: Saints and Stones
Their last good album was Goats Head Soup 40 years ago. A couple of good songs since, like Far Away Eyes and Start Me Up and that's about it. There's a lot of average stuff after their golden era (which was LIVE with one MICK TAYLOR ripping melodic solos to the outer stratosphere), but plenty of go...

Re: Who will do a Roberton?
Rhys needs to relax, get a bit cheeky, and learn how to have-a-crack with a smile on his face.
I'm sure he's got a lot of athletic tricks up the sleeve (particularly flair with his movement), but is almost too shy to use 'em.
Take the game on big fella... and enjoy doing so!

Looks to still be on a big learning curve. Balanced, link-up player, who can move forward dangerously with agility at times. Does not seem to mind running at the opposition. The pace of AFL would have been a reality check, but a good lesson. Fine with him having another year. Know nothing about his ...

Re: Campbell Brown - Gold Coast, Glass Jaw
Remember seeing some interview with Campbell and Mathew Lloyd.
'
Think of what you want about Lloyd, but he was a gun player. Brown had no right to be sitting in the same room discussing football; even if it was an issue regarding both of them.

plug
verb. block or fill in (a hole or crevice)
likely plug
1. Approaching 40, Sally, decided she best real in any old blow joe to plug her hole.
unlikely plug
2. Ross Lyon, with no eye on the future, recruited Dean Polo to plug a midfield hole.

that said, hope he farks freo's list by being a plugger (not a tosser, but a gap filler: 1. to plug a hole)

Swans jump the gun and go for a player ideal for their style and culture.
Geelong go a local boy.
Freo go a ruckman.
St Kilda clean up?

I'd like to hear the odd experts opinion on where they'd think Scharenberg would have gone in previous drafts. After being well and truly aboard the Billy express, and being 100% of the belief we should be recruiting intelligent match-winners first and foremost, I'm starting to get a little tiny iny...

Re: Pick Your Best Team - Round 1, 2014
It's not too wishful thinking to expect Savage and Longer to play the bulk of the season. If we could top that off with Newnes, Wright & Curren becoming regulars, the rebuild would be in full steam. The real cherry on the cake would be if one of Siposs, Markworth or Milera started to light it up.
