Re: Why was Michael Gardiner not selected?

So wouldnt have played Ball if he was fit as well as playing MG. Funny. There you go again P66. Maybe I knew Ball wasn't going to play...!!!!????? Then why even include him in the changes you would have made? Anyway doesnt matter as no changes were going to help us beat the Hawks. They have won 19 ...

Re: Why was Michael Gardiner not selected?

Hawthorn, yes they did out play us and were far more superior at the clearences than us. However, whenever we kicked the ball into our 50 there was simply no targets which allowed them to rebound with ease. If Gardiner was slected it would have allowed us to rotate King and Gardiner through the ruc...

Re: Moving on

This morning I've trawled through some serious crap on the site. A well rested second placed team coming of 15 days break beat a distant but tenacious fourth placegetter with only 6 days rest. Disappointing, yes. Surprising? Absolutely not. We have a list that is still evolving (development of Jone...

"faunicated"? :? Yes Bernie, I too was a little puzzled by this word. I like to think of myself as someone with a passable vocabulary, but obviously this word has hitherto escaped our attention. I thought that maybe it has something to do with 'faun' - "figure of Roman mythology simi...

I was 14 in '66 and I was actually right behind the point post, just behind the fence, when Barry Breen's kick went through. At the time, I remember that it seemed like the ball had frozen in mid-air....it seemed to take an eternity to actually go through for the point. When it did, the crowd went b...

If Luke Ball isn't passed fit this week, no change for mine! I dont think Bally will play but dont you think X if he is anywhere near his best is more valuable to the side than Eddy or Gardiner. There's the "IF" word again plug, yes near his best he is probably more valuable than Eddy and...

Re: Why did X rest last week

You would have thought that X should play as many games as possible heading into the finals. Was he rested or did he have a slight injury. Hope it was a rest but it does seem strange. With scorps playing on the Sat..... kept 2 back One if Milne did not come up One for any last hiccups ie McQualter ...

IMO should take Rix's spot on the list... can't offer any less and has a much bigger upside LVR was going to be elevated to the main list at the end of last year until we traded for King. I agree with skeptic on this one. I think we have seen what Rix has to offer and it aint much. With King and Ga...
