Re: Congratulations to Chitooo
Bump..
Mitch Owens is very good at football. Seriously.
Possibly the best player in his generation.
He's still a kid, playing key position forward, some midfield and a bit of ruck.
Best St Kilda kid (same age) I've seen since.....

Re: Umpire Leigh Fisher
Leigh Fisher is an outstanding umpire, his interoperation of the rules demonstrates an outstanding feel for the game. Regardless I prefer he doesn't umpire Saints games, as I suspect he may subconsciously try to be objective. This raises an interesting question, if Leigh Fisher is the best umpire sh...

Re: Tom DeKonning
It's a fair bet he'll end up at Geelong, in fact i suspect it's already a done deal.
He'll probably get a new farm, and his wife will land an executive role at Cotton On.
And how much is Tom Hawkins being paid?

Re: How do you ledgends see the umpiring
How do we feel about four umpires? Personally, I feel it's too many and the cause of inconstancy. There are numerous examples where the umpire closest to the play calls 'play on', but an umpire a hundred meters away plucks out a marginal free kick. When umpiring, there are so many 50/50 calls and a ...

Re: Issues going forward
Unfortunately we lost a bit of our (recent) trademark endurance running along the wings. Unfortunately both Hill & Wanganeen took some heavy knocks and Mason Wood was moved forward. Without that run we were forced into a wrestle which suited Port. Mason Wood is great when he's running the wings,...

Will have a long run in the VFL.Very raw Has something changed since your original post on Keeler? Also saw that original post and got excited. We're entitled to ask why we drafted Keeler well ahead of Caminiti. And if we threw the very green 19 year old Caminiti into the team, why wouldn't we do t...

Re: Why the Saints lost on Sunday (perhaps)
Ross Lyon went with the same game plan that's been successful all year, which has a lot of run and overlap. Collingwood managed to block of run into the forward line and put our ball carrier under pressure. Rather than 'bomb it long' our guys were forced to take greater risks and to try and break ta...

Re: Ben Paton.( Poor)
A bit of perspective. Paton is part of the best defensive unit in the competition. He's behind Webster, but with so many injuries he's a decent replacement. Guys like Coffield and Highmore play a slightly different roles, and I feel that Paton has good endurance running ability, a key ingredient in ...

Re: Membrey named
My money is on Membrey Windy Butler Paton Bytel sub Sharman Campbell Cordy to miss out. Not so sure they'll leave Cordy out. Depends on our ruck strategy, on one hand Membrey would add greater pace and flexibility, alternately we could exploit the Pies lack of ruck and double team them with either ...
