Re: Match Thread Saints v Tigers Maddie's Match 2018

Richo will say the second half was 'really pleasing' and 'positive' and the group will gain a 'lot of confidence' knowing they can match it with the best side in the comp and hopefully they can bring that 'desire to compete' and be 'hard at the contest' next week.....

Re: Match Thread Saints v Tigers Maddie's Match 2018

We out scored them in the second half which means we fought it out well. 54 points loss needs to be put in perspective- Richmond have beaten Collingwood by 48, Melbourne by 46and Essendon by 71! They are the premiers and the best team and we also have players missing and young inexperienced players...

Re: Content

One of the few times this year pretty well everything went our way. Injuries to key players, umpires etc. Boys gained a lot of confidence. Interesting to note Richo did not make one tactical move all night. Not one. Carlton were terrible....really bad. Come back next week with some positive shtick ...

At least some Saints fans might actually get to watch and see what a real AFL standard side looks like.
Watch and enjoy.

Richo was puffing his chest out like a pigeon after beating the Suns and Carlton FFS. Both VFL standard basket cases.

Gilbert, Weller, Newnes, Geary, Savage.

Our middle aged/mature core group of players are just horrific.

Re: Match Thread Saints v Tigers Maddie's Match 2018

Last year's win was an absolute anomaly/fluke. It didnt set any kind of benchmark.
We had a one off good game. The Tiges had a one off shocker.

Now back to reality. Another embarrassing performance on FTA TV under the bright lights when everyone is watching.

Re: Sandringham v Geelong

Well I felt a bit bad because I said I’d do a match report couldnt you just cobble something together? I mean after a promising start how did they lose that one ? Very simply. Cats had 20 AFL listed players. In their team - we had 10. You sure they had 20? Kiel, Keras, Atkins, Tsitas. Not on Cats l...

Re: The Hodge/Ball effect

Shane Edwards contracted until end of 2019. McVeigh wont leave Sydney - he is originally from there. The only mature player I think we should got for is Gaff. We will need pay serious overs to get him. I think we could front load his contract heavily. About two or three years ago (can't recall) whe...
