Good stuff :D

FWIW, I also reckon they should have two goal umpires. Scores win and lose you matches so 4 eyes are better than two (or should that be 8 eyes). One can cover the goal line while the other gets behind the ball and sees if it touches the post (Hawkins anyone)?

Hi matrix. Are you there?

How are Johnson and Siposs going? I know Will has kicked 2 goals.

I think it's sad that traditional home grounds are being abandoned for new "state of the art" facilities. I drive around a fair bit for my job and going past the old grounds sends a shiver down my spine but soon (if they aren't already) they will just be wastelands (or apartments). Why did...

Hitting up a leading target would help too. If Johnson or Siposs plays then the midfielders better lower their eyes and hit the leading target instead of bombing to a 1 v 3 as usual.

RL got lambasted after round 1 this year for playing the "boring" and "scrappy" football when we lost 47 to 48. I think he tried to change styles after that serious spray from the media and look where it has got us. We are not skillful enough to play attacking footy (not yet anyw...

And what about Podsif*ckly? How many frees does he get where he is the one that is holding the defenders jumper? Pri*k.

Re: Armitage ?

Why is this bloke playing forward? Possibly our best at getting first hands to it in the clearances, great tackler, usually has a positive impact at the contest. I feel he is wasted up forward, he's not a marking target, pretty surprised he managed to kick three. Surely this bloke is a better midfi...

Terrible decision to play a half fit player. It never, ever works and yet coaches keep persisting with it. Play fully fit players willing to die for you and you never know what might happen.

As if that wasn't a free kick to Bakes when he "marked" the touched kick when Geelong jumped into his back. If that was a mark, in any other match it would of been an automatic 50 metre penalty and we don't even get the free FFS!!! :x

I couldn't believe how woeful we were skill wise tonight while being crucified by the men in peuce but, if you think about it, we were still in the game for most of the time and, with a bit better efficiency, could of even won. I don't know why the skills have dropped off so much.

I don't know what's happened to him lately. He used to be so good at those marks running back into a pack and taking the mark. Tonight there were 2 or 3 instances where he could have taken one of those marks but just didn't go for them.

I don't particularly like Gilbo as a footballer but after a woeful start tonight, I thought he really got into the game halfway through the second quarter and really attacked the ball hard. I think every kick and handball after that was good.

He might have turned the corner tonight.

Saints article in Herald Sun today

There was an article in todays Herald Sun entitled "Saints bank on Zebras" by Sam Landsberger which said; St Kilda coach Ross Lyon has signalled his intention to charge into the finals by scrapping a short-lived youth policy and recalling several veterans from VFL affiliate Sandringham. In...

Anyone see Lenny on the footy last night?

He looks like he's lost a lot of weight from both the face and body. Is it possibly something to do with his knee (I heard he may have had an infection) or am I just imagining things?
