Last year the problem with Riewoldt's kicking was that as his kicking leg when forward his upper body went backwards. It is a bit like hitting a golf ball with your body falling backwards instead of your weight going forward. The ball can go anywhere but does not go far. He needs to keep his upper b...

I say sue Demetriou and Anderson instead of the AFL.
They are paid so much most of the AFLs discretionary cash must end up in their pockets.

The biggest change from last year is: Instead of hugging the boundary all the way from the kickout to the mark inside 50. When the ball gets to the wing, centre the ball (to the goal to goal line corridor) just outside the 50 metre arc. The kick inside 50 then allows the forwards to lead left, right...

Poor Ashley Porter does not understand - the game is Australian RULES football. The game is played by the RULES. X was in the clear, he knew that under the NAB cup rules, if he kicked from outside 50 metres he could score 9 points. He tried but the ball dropped short and was rushed through for only ...

So we lose if super goals only count for 6 points but what about 2 rebounds off the goal posts. If they count for 1 point the better team still wins don't we.

Raph gets heavily criticised because he is a first round draft pick No 8 in 2003. Similarly Richmond supporters absolutely hated Fiora because they felt he turned out to be a waste at pick No 3 in 1999. First round draft picks carry high expectations and when they don't meet them they get criticised...

The best part of this win is knowing that Andrew Demetriou has to sign a cheque to the St Kilda football club for $385,000.
That is really going to stick in his throat. Heh! heh! heh!

The world is full of failed talent.

Sucessful application of talent is a lot rarer.

Raph has to deliver on his talent. X has already admitted that it time for himself to start delivering.

HARD BODIES don't count if they are built on SOFT TISSUE.

These two need to spend more time stretching their hamstrings and less time pushing weights and doing community work.

Rugby players are especially good at tackling from the front. Most AFL players are only good at tackling from behind - that's what they get taught in junior football. With players trying to run past with the ball these days, tackling from the front becomes more important in AFL .

Michael Frost dumped by Footscray after 13 games. Sheldon wasted a first round draft pick No 8 on him. Sheldon said he was hard at the ball. Pity he hardly ever got the ball. Only played 11 games for the Saints. Good one Kenny.

Most over rated player of all time has to be Eddie McGuire.
He's won countless matches, even premierships for Collingwood, but he has only ever been on the ground after the match was finished.

There is a lesson to be learnt from the 1997 grand final. Your star players get you into the finals. Your weakest players lose you the finals. (Because you don't have the confidence to play through them and opposition coaches can exploit them). If you play with six forwards you must have six avenues...

Lets see if I got this right. A new egomaniac at Vodafone did lunch with a crook from Carlton who was fined tens of millions of dollars but did no time. Carlton was good enough to win the pre season grand final and then lost a lot of games early. Then they appointed a new coach, he did not play his best team and did not win any matches. Everyone knows why. Demetriou takes no action. Then Fitzpatrick (now what team did he play for?) arranges this pay...

Sorry, I just checked my notes, that should be 9 and a half hours journey duration by car. The clock time is 9 hours after leaving Melbourne and 10 hours after leaving Adelaide due to half hour time difference.
Journey duration by train is 11 hours.

I lived in Adelaide for a year and drove back to Melbourne a few times(StKilda to Pooraka) As Saintdooley says it takes 11 hours only stopping once to add petrol. Don't eat before or during your drive it willl only cause you to fall asleep at the wheel. Safer to go by train or plane.
