Re: Lonie and Dahlhaus

The kid can play as we seen last year and copping a tag in the vfl this year. The arm break was horrific and will take him some time to get over. the forward line for the next 10 years looks pretty set if everyone can live up to potential. FF: Lonie McCartin Sinclair HF: Billings Bruce Membery Then...

Re: Why Paddy_ Emma Quayle Book- exerpt

Are you talking about Freeman again? Your gunna have to lift your game. Are you related to him or have you been harbouring hope since you identified him as a gun at 8 years of age. Your wisdom and insight is astounding me. Sorry Paddy McCartin, I expect a number 1 pick to do more than you have so f...

Re: Why Paddy_ Emma Quayle Book- exerpt

His best game was a fair one and he showed little a bit. Unfortunately, it was against Melb who are an elite VFL side at best. And to think they beat many more sides than us above them on the ladder. I think people potting him after one season when it was obvious that he clearly wasn't ready either...

Re: Jarrad Jansen.

This thread is about Jarrad Jansen. I think he would have been a better choice than Freeman because he is developing his craft now not avoiding hamstring injuries and looking for a payrise. Technically Jansen could play in any part of the field against a multitude of body shapes. He is strong and f...

Jarrad Jansen.

Excellent and I have actually seen freeman play, the person you potted and I think he is exactly what we need. Anyway we most likely won't get either but freeman is more chance to come to us than Jansen and I think that's a good thing

Carlisle is away for 2 weeks so need to make a decision yet. We are trying to close on something that will superseed all.....watch this space! I have it on good authority that Carlisle is the man. Just like Williams. He's got a few right (McEvoy, Savage, pick swaps, Bruce, Longer) & a few wrong...

Re: Consistent performance and Disposal efficacy

I'd get Tim Elliott off that list. Biggest hack defender we've had for decades. He was a specialist at kick outs. Straight to the opposition! I doubt he ever kicked out but I do love the way you knock our players. You are my hero. What about saying these comments to their faces. Do you have the cou...

Re: Why Paddy_ Emma Quayle Book- exerpt

Too early to say He can easily still reach his potential OR he becomes another Kosi (nice guy that never really set the world on fire at no 2 pick apart from a run of 4 games and 11 Brownlow votes) We certainly took a gamble on Paddy so scrutiny will come - will also watch Petracca with interest as...

Re: Jarrad Jansen.

This is the kind of guy we could rookie. But is he one of the best midfielders in the VFL? To make it in the AFL you need to be one of the top mids in the VFL at age 20. Barlow is a great example of a bloke who was very big and still playing VFL at 21. But when he was 21 he dominated the VFL. Is th...

Of course she is but it doesn't matter because we aren't playing there. They don't want to pay so who cares who plays on any day

Re: TV in NZ........game possibly in Christchurch

on the 2 o'clock news break the announcer said we weren't playing in Wellington because the stadium had been booked already for 2 concerts, one of which was AC/DC Etihad stadium have often booked events which then compromises regular events. The fact that we aren't going there should make that ok.

Re: Jarrad Jansen.

Everyone is tradable and we need a bigger stronger midfield. If they dont want Siposs Shenton or etc. Why are they still on our list. McEvoy was an example of how what you might not expect, may happen. Perhaps I should have said Ross, Blake or Curren. We cant keep them all and Freeman is just looki...

Re: Jarrad Jansen.

Wants a trade from the pussy cats. 192cm 93 kilos inside mid. Looks like the kind of player we need. Good hands, nice kick, good pace, very strong in the contest and rarely fumbles or wastes a possession. Also can swing forward or back as a third tall. He is not injured and has improved dramaticall...

I like it. Good find We need taller mids. Tiny compared to freo etc 2013 is a great draft. He is from fremantle. Just like Acres, to expect a teenager to move interstate and perform straight away is ridiculous. This guy has talent and if we can grab him for nothing why not? Lets get bargains. What ...

Indeed.

Let me rephrase.

Sam Crocker was a beautiful left foot kick, apparently.

IM guessing Pav is making a point that kicking isn't everything.
