Re: New jumper numbers thread (only for those who care)

I can't remember who was wearing which jumper but the 3 new recruits had no's 10, 13 & 22 when presented to the crowd this morning.

I think he meant difficult to faze.

Richo says all the right stuff without it sounding rehearsed & he comes across as a genuine good guy. I love listening to him talk, the club need to hang on to him for sure.

Re: Daniel McKenzie and others under the radar

I remember this game well. Daniel McKenzie was playing his second game after having been the sub the previous week & when he fumbled early in the 1st quarter the guy behind me had no clue who he was but was quick to bag him. His game improved as did our luck & I certainly left the guy behind...

Re: You have to be happy with that draw

Funny how supporters from the opposing teams react to a draw. Geelong supporting friend of mine sent me a text straight after saying how much he hates them so I replied that we don't. Guess it depends on your expectations going in & after the last few weeks results & our inaccurate kicking ...

Re: Last kickoff over the goal line?

yea , saw it. ... whats the 'Rule' for legal ? (behind the line or on the line) We don't play by the rules we play by the interpretation "to avoid doubt". The interpretation is one foot behind the line when the ball is kicked, on the line you should be pinged. This is a factual rule. Ther...

Re: Players deserving of a chance

Given the comments from Richo in yesterday's press conference - saying the only new player who hasnt played is Holmes - would suggest Markworth isnt at the front of the mind when it comes to inclusions. I'd like to see him get a couple of games for the list management to at least get some indicatio...

Just over 10000 members were there according to the scoreboard but it was only purchased tickets that contributed toward the MRV. I was on one of the stalls doing the nail painting & I was overwhelmed with how much money people were donating.

Didn't we have a big win over Sydney at the SCG in 1998? I thought we won by 101 points or something? The players all linked arms & formed a huge line up after the game.

Markworth & Sippos are both due to come back onto the main list this week so it's quite likely that Sinclair & Schneider will have to go back to the rookie list. On a side note, Luke Dunstan was interviewed in the Victory room after the game & rates Blake Acres pretty high. Said he'll be...

Re: armo hit

The tackle of Armo's against Masten was perfectly legal & perfectly executed. He was front on to the player & took him out. In the Eagles forward line, Shenton was front on to his player whilst trying to turn & spoil the ball, makes light contact with his arm......Free kick!

Re: Umpire 2

The free kick they paid against McKenzie for high contact was laughable. Even the commentators said it was just about a perfect tackle when he pinned both his arms, not sure which umpire called it. Several times you'd see the Eagles tackle one of our players with the arm over their shoulder, yet no ...
