Re: Jones... quad

Left field idea - bring in Long as a direct replacement. Let him get his aggression out by going full on in to contests in the middle rather than off half back. Would prob scare the s**t out of opponents. Jones worked under Longmire and the Swans system, that helped him understand his own attribute...

Re: Winner+Margin over Cats

Cats by 63. It's not going to be pretty, folks Seeing as how Jones is out... And we lost last yr by 59, (34 to 93) And we've been impotent against the Imjectors+Power... A 10 goal loss is certainly on the cards. I don't see how we stop Cameron+Hawkins. No disrespect to the Dynamic Duo of Howard n W...

He’s been close to our best the past two games. We can’t take a trick.

I guess Dunstan will come in, but we are going to lack drive in the middle
Bringing Dunstan in, is a classic Richo move.

Paton- leg broken by an assistant coach;
Gresh- Achilles;
Geary- ankle (but he's lining up in VFL this round)
Jones- long term quad. Not long after amassing 37 touches n a BOG.

Cruel twists of fate are the Cassandras that befall St Kilda, these are the crosses we bear.

Re: Nathan Freeman

We DON'T NEED another mid. Need a ruck back-up quick smart. Roma is having plantar fascia issues, and it's not good to push him too hard until it's resolved. Remember Luke Ball and osteitis pubis? Ryder isn't young, we don't know how long he has left. The Paul Hunter/Shaun McKernan experiment hasn't...

Selwood, Judd, Ablett, Fyfe all handed GOOGF cards for the duration. Drawcards, press darlings. Hawkins and Fritsch, serious benefit of no doubt given. Football tribunals seem ever conflicted, muddled headed and arbitrary. A lot must go on in the background and old allegiances/prejudices weigh heav...

Re: Geelong Next week

They've got several defenders that will start attacks in their D50, with scary accuracy. Ability to go coast-to-coast without oppo touching the ball. Unless our fwds create space and chaos, we're in for a world of hurt. I can't see Butler having any impact at all, he's been found out and their defen...

What was the cause of all the dropped uncontested marks yesterday, especially in the first half. It was like watching a game in torrential rain , except it was sunny and dry. Was it the humidity or was it they were just not switched on or struggled to concentrate int he heat? I have history of outd...

Higgins/Butler are the 2 small fwds that don't need help, they're great as a duo

Who knows. He’s playing as well as ever and looks very fit. Still has a prodigious leap. Barring bad injury - which admittedly you cannot rule out - I don’t see why he can’t go around again. What a terrific player he is. Wish he’d played his entire career at St Kilda. Against the Hawks, he made McE...

Grab him. Make it happen. What midfield coach would command greater respect from our group? Who would show greater interest in the pair of excellence and the desire to see st kilda succeed? Rubbish. Every single coach wants to get the most out of their players and themselves. They all lie awake at ...

Also, I understand the ground was very windy.

Why couldn't they stay close?

DMak injured his calf at training today. Carlisle has a sore back and did not train. McKernan's Car has had a bingle. Not known how long to fix it. 2 weeks? What was DMak doing to his young cow to injure it. Teaching it to bull fight maybe. Bit of a bovine feel to the Saints, what with Hill using t...

Jamie Cripps is diabetic.
Manages to get picked for the WCE most weeks.

Career Average 12.8 disposals.
(He found out he was diabetic before 2011 draft, didn't want to tell Saints about it cos we may not have picked him)
