1st day on the job

1st November 2022 I believe it is the first day on the job for both Ross the Boss (RTB) & also Geoff Walsh - thus it will be tomorrow. What is the first action for each on the first day (knowing that both worked last week) RTB - dial the number of SOS or Riewoldt to offer roles in a capacity goi...

Re: Saints: Who is back and who will have a delayed start

Clarke was at the club during the week & was at the press conference.

He was in pictures & videos talking to Ross the Boss

Hopefully Hunter will be one of the players to get the best out of skills under RTB

Yes what was the "final hurdle"

Could be reporting lines?
Who does Ross report to?.
Footy manager Walsh or CEO Simon?
Of course Ross would like todo things his own way - but he must report to someone

Re: Bytel signs 1 year extension

Really happy that Jack has resigned albeit for 1 year Injury plagued to date If he has a good run at it (injury wise) he has a lot to offer in my view. However possibly fallen in ranking behind Marcus W Form with Sandy towards the end of the year was very solid as the ball winning in inside mid. Sho...

Re: Looking forward to 2023?

Glass half full for me Last 3 games - lost to 3 of top 4 teams Geelong, Brisbane & Sydney - got close to Lions & Swans We could have played the bottom 3 teams & made finals I would rather be in the position of knowing that we are currently not good enough to match the top 4 teams (rather...

Re: Thank You, Matt Finnis! 🙏

As a life long and generational saints supporter, an element of the club that has matched our lack of onfield success has been the poor and unstable administration.

Matt has provided stability, integrity and respect to the club off field.

Thanks matt

There is more bites in the old dog in 2022

Just have the feeling that the saints (the old dog) have a few more bites in us in 2022. Not expected to win any games - do we prefer the underdog status (i think so) Is the pressure off a little to play more expansively with a nothing to loose mindset? (we have plenty to lose however do our opponen...

Great decision
Congrats to Ratts, Board & all involved.

"Stability is Gold"
(Great decision from our club who for a lot of its 150 year history has been unstable)

Sebs third term

I thought Sebs 3rd term deserved his own thread Watching the 20 minutes of the 3rd again (as we all have a number of times), Seb was instrumental His speed to motor away from centre clearance & his disposal (yes..... a big tick to both) We do take what he does foe granted & he has led the re...

Injury update - 27/4/22

Current outs
Coffield - season
Hayes - season
Hannebery - 6
Clarke - 2

Probably 3 possibly in best 22 (apart from Hayes)

Given Billings & Jones both return this week via VFL, ...we cannot complain about injuries compared to other clubs
What a massive change from this time last year

Re: Time trial

Love number 15 - however also would have been great to see Jack Billings in the top 10 (he appeared to have completed the run)
Lets hope that he has at least improved over last year - running ability is an area of his game where improvement could elevate his performance into the elite category

List size

After the draft last week
Main list = 36
Cat A rookie = 4
Cat B rookie = 2
Total = 42

All too confusing to me, however is there any further spots on the list that we can add via inviting players to train or mid season draft?
