I don't know why your first response to the OP was to say that comments about Walsh or what he did out there tonight were crap. Tommy having bloody good character and perhaps having pretty good odds of being a player is what really pisses me off. Pelchen and Watters are bloody pissed off that Ross L...

I've never been into dream teams and all that supercoach bizzo, but I'll tell you what I reckon the Saints should be doing as far as the line-up for 2012 goes after a quick revisit to Round 1 2011. We started off this year against Geelong with a similar line-up to last years (if not identical to the...

I agree with BigMart ... Serious issues with our development structure and attitude towards young players from the end of 2005 until now ... Particularly bad in the last 12 months. Watters said he is keen to really look at boosting our development academy side of things - any coincidence?! Somethin...

I await the alternative ticket that Joffaboy and Barks are assembling for the imminent board spill! (register now for tickets to the AGM) Want nothing to do with the board. I am not going near their finances with a ten foot pole. The place is a shambles, brought about by the numpties and financial ...

Yep. Watters is not only a good communicator, but I think what he was saying today was his own personal feelings on things rather than some feel good statements. I reckon with Neeld there was a bit of fluf that he believed the media and administration and fans wanted to hear. I like Watters philosop...

What's the worst thing that can happen...scandal, news headlines, or he pisses all over some of the other boys when they just want a photo of his wang....so what!! Been there done that...I suppose he might be ok early and help us win games, give Roo and Kozi a rest early in the year, get the fans co...

So you think one or two games by a coach that isnt with us anymore would make him feel embedded into our club. Lets face it if Walsh wants to leave it will be about money and not because he didnt get a game last year. Without even slightly knowing i am guessing that Walsh was being paid very well a...

I'm glad there's no senior coach around and that Pelchen is allowed free reign to do his thing... Geelong won it this year and that's the template while we've still got the core group and most of the players from the '09 and '10 GF teams. We don't need drastic changes and we don't need a total rebui...

Lyon was a good coach. Not perfect by any means, but smart and cunning and was better than most at working out ways to neutralize the main threats of opposing teams. I still believe he shouldn't have gotten the job in the first place. Shifting coaches is disruptive and can set your premiership pros...

The bloke was a dud and our players and the assistant coaches and Saints footy department made him look good...Our team had great talent and he simply couldn't inspire and lead them to greatness... But stuff it, I'll reserve my final judgement for a few years...lets just wait and see if he can prov...

Re: What has this board done?
Lyon, Misson etc were all put in place by the previous Board. Don't let the facts get in the way of the laterally challenged apologist spin doctoring clowns! The club has ridden on the wave of having a brilliant coach and fitness and conditioning guru BOTH appointed by the previous board that were ...

Imo, Raph has been durable, deserved his spot most games and shown that he's good at defending and tackling and chasing, but not so good when he's got the footy...just like half a dozen of our players being discussed here as trade bait...could also be an indication of the deficiencies of the Ross Ly...

Judging by Pelchen's choices for past trades I'm hoping he'll weed out the players that haven't pulled their weight. Why should we have passengers riding on the coat-tails of our hardest workers? We've seen the impact it's had on Lenny and Roo and these blokes cannot continue to do it all... Chips w...

When was the last time this happened?
Two senior coaches leave/resign/get sacked and they swap teams the following year!!!!!!!!!!  Not sure if this is likely or if Mark Harvey is ready right now to take on the role of senior coach at another club...but if Harve's goes through the process and seems like the best candidate ...
