Re: The Hangar

BTW - very impressed with the way that Simpkin carried on with his game after that. He kept putting his body in and still seemed alert and controlled. He has very good awareness and just good old "footy smarts".

Re: Mcevoy -33 in hitout count !

He's coming along ok. Exciting part is he WILL get better. Love his engine and his marking but I can't see him getting any quicker or jumping any higher than he is now. That's what I worry about with him. That's true but he will get a bit stronger and will get better at positioning and "ruck c...

Big Ben is developing very nicely in my book and ha smuch more upside to come - not just in the ruck but around the ground as well. Did you see how good he was with his hand...

Re: Jason Gram - where to?

Pretty average 2011 but if he gets a full preseason and a bit of luck with injuries. One of our most attacking players but didn't find much joy in Lyon's game plan. Don't think Lovett's party plan helped either. :D :D :D Dr S has a really dry humour with a great sense of the absurd. Could somebody ...

Oh bugger. Then, in that case, I don't get the logic. Somebody else wiith a bigger salary than Blake's must be going on.

I thought that Roo would be eligible next year. That means that it is better to take half of his salary out of the tPP than half of Blakes?

Ayres as Director of Coaching??

I see that he HS today has a small throwaway "Gary Ayres has missed the coaching job but is in line for Director of Coaching". (Sorry, I can't do a link but it can be found in the "confidential"). Does anybody know if this has legs - for some reason there haven't been any whisper...

I'm not sure that it is the running that is his problem - more likely the constant battering of tunnelling and triple-teaming that is destabilising him when he is playingnear goal. I would rather see him run relatively free of a tag and deliver to the forwards from about the centre. (He is a good an...

Why shouldn't we condsider playing him in a role like Goodes or Matty Richardson (at the end of his career)? Something like a ruck-rover.

No, seriously. Why not?

I still think that we have a lot of un-tapped talent that has spent 2 to 3 years developing in the 2nds. THey are now stronger and more experienced and could blossom when given an opportunity.

I'm not convinced that we need a wholesale rebuild of the list.
