Re: Injuries.

I’d at the very least have Nathan Brown as an emergency and select him 90 minutes prior IF the radar suggests it will be a wet weather game.

The G dries very fast so even a wet morning and dry arvo means dry weather footy

Re: Team v Dogs

I really like the team and am really pleased Coffield gets a crack. Like a few on here I was a fan of his run of 3-4 games leading up to his injury..he seemed to settle with the pace of the game and showed he could be a really neat and effective player As others have mentioned prob the only disappo...

Re: Footy is off and running.

Dislike the laugh track but I guess there are too many people uncomfortable with silence to proceed without it. Hate the shortened quarters. Absolutely no need for it since we're playing in traditional timeslots with a normal amount of days between games. I understand that they may be necessary if ...

Re: now it’s Fake Crowd noise

Gee I hope crowds are back soon. AFL is far better live than on telly crowd noise or no cored noise. NRL is much better suited to TV - that’s why no one much bothers going to games in Shytney

Re: Saints v dogs

Will Carlisle, Webster, Battle, Savage, Langlands Sinclair, Hind, Coffield or Parker be in the running for Round 2. The way we folded up like a deck of cards in Round 1 still pisses me off, so hopefully there will be several changes I can’t help suspecting they knew the season might fold. How else ...

The Gresh should be ready for Round 2

Just read an article on the Saints website.

CBF posting the link - google it if interested.

Great news and the first player ever to do a PCL and not miss a game during the season I’m guessing !

Re: friday training

watched about 20 mins of the training scratch match today . Very enjoyable in the late autumn sun . I noticed that choco Williams was there , Does anyone know if he has any affiliations with any clubs these days ? I wanted to ask him who he was spying for , but thought he may be looking for a job ....

Re: now it’s Fake Crowd noise

If the Drive Ins at Dandy showed our game could we get a decent crowd of Saints cars there to watch the game?

They did that in Syd-er-knee last night for the first match of bum sniffers

Re: now it’s Fake Crowd noise

The HOME team should control the special effects. Home team official should cue "BALL" noises etc. for the "Voice of affirmation". ... create a home advantage. Exactly. The sound engineer should be from the home team. There can be some noise for opposition team goal but not as m...

Re: Rounds 2 to 5

Good post. Rd 1 against north was so disappointing. Basically the last straw (in the context of big games listed above, or the few opportunities we've had to win 8 pt games for ladder position) in terms of showing that our players play like they don't care about the jumper. I've lost so much respec...

Re: Footy in Melbourne -what a joke

Actually stats do lie in this case. Victoria has done over 5x the number of tests that WA has. Of those tests Victoria has shown 0.4% positive where as WA has 0.7% positive. Simple logic if you test more you get more positive results. WA has failed to test sufficiently so is showing low numbers. On...

We traded him out for peanuts and are supposedly still paying part of his salary so we are entitled to know what is going on. Who cares what's going on, glad he's Geelong's problem now, and good riddance. We are paying part of his salary. What part of that don’t you understand? Based on the recent ...

Rubbish, we are highly likely to be able to attend games this year IMHFO. Don’t get caught up in the COVID hysteria - there is hardly any community transmission and very few new cases ending up in hospital, so the virus isn’t a strong variant in the community due to the extremely minimal community ...

Re: Saints v dogs

None of the next 4 games on free to air TV. Terrible time slots. We have been shafted again! Murdoch would have pulled rank and demanded the fixture be geared exclusively to help Fox from going broke. The Mickey Mouse cup will be corrupt to the core. The AFL would be driving a 'maximised' fixture h...

Re: Saints v dogs

Does the time slot really matter as much these days? Unless it’s a prime time night game, what’s the difference between Sunday twilight or Saturday 2pm? It's a good point. People aren't going to show up regardless! Although this does give an insight into which time slots and which clubs draw the mo...

Well, a couple of the names on the list in the OP have been stood down until the end of the year according to the news. Any chance you could tell us so we don’t have to go looking? Billy Slater and Jake Batchelor according to the News. Never heard of Batchelor. What was his role? Tinder scrutineer??

We have to beat Footscray Round 2. We need to actually start to win footy matches. Agree. No excuses like we had for round 1. This is fair dinkum stuff and the games should be going ahead (barring some massively unexpected spikes in community transmission). Round 1 was an asterisk round as it clear...
