I'd like to see a clear and simple gameplan - let's have inside players and outside players. And let's make sure they all know which is which.

From the recent past, I'm one of those who firmly believed Luke Dunstan was a heart and soul player who'd epitomise the club ethos and lead us to glory. I wonder if there's a bit of player rebellion in this - their reaction to the resigning. With watters we had a lot of v influential senior players who just said 'no'. No players in that position today (jeez is that damning in itself - I can't think who in the whole team I'd call an 'influential play...

It cannot be the players' skill levels. How many times do we see players leave St Kilda and go on to glorious careers elsewhere. We are incapable of player development.

the gameplan (lack of)
the player development (lack of)
a coach who can inspire them to play above themselves (lack of)

only via radio but commentators were saying they've practised that chipping it sideways crap all week - that's why they were doing it today. it's not some mad idea the players suddenly took it on themselves to try out.
