Re: Is anyone else worried?
What intrigues me is the depth of response to what happened on Friday. It's as though most of us had kept a lid on our frustrations and fears, until the pressure cooker exploded. It wasn't anywhere near the worst loss in our history, even if the manner was poor. Remember the first three rounds of 1...

As they are irrelevant. Usually dragged out by those who've never been in the theatre of war or had an angry man fire bullets at them. The first person to die in the trenches is usually the one who talks the biggest game.SaintPav wrote:The war analogies are nauseating.

Re: Show some flaming ticker
Long time reader and first time poster. Seriously, some of you so called Saints supporters need to show some bloody ticker! One bad loss and everyone is at the club's throat from the CEO, to the coaches, players, recruiters, backroom staff, etc. Then there is talk of folding and relocating and clea...

McEvoy and Stanley.
As if Friday wasn't bad enough, we then had to watch two of our former players show us a thing or two on Easter Monday. Apart from the standard of the match, which was so far ahead of ours it was in the next century, McEvoy showed us why a club like Hawthorn wanted him in the first place. Rhys, alth...

It was just what Hawthorn always does. Identifies what it needs and goes and gets it. Like the Swines, Adelaide and Geelong. No need for early picks, just shrewd judgement, competent recruiters and great caching/development programs. Simples. Imagine what the dorks would've done with our bonanza of ...

Re: Saints can do a Richmond (2017) in 2019
I doubt Gilligan would let us sack TMBK. I bet he's already had a long chat with Finnis about the direction of the club and what ongoing plans there are. The Death Star is watching very closely. We become more dependent on it every day. Soon they'll make us do whatever they want. May as well move th...

Thanks kosi, I reckon richo needs to show a pair this week and "be really strong in the contest" at the selection table, make a statement. Out: Longer, Bruce, Stevens, Clark, Brown In: Hickey, Marshall, Dunstan, Coffield, Austin Interesting dragit. I had three of your ins in my round one ...

Re: Are you still angry ?
Where is the president, CEO, Lethlean etc? Why has there been virtually air silence from the club. Apart from TMBK's usual cliche fest on 360, they've offered us donuts. Maybe they think by turtling us, it will look like they've pulled together behind the coach, but it's having the opposite effect o...

I have no memory of him being at the club but apparently he was there for two years. http://www.afl.com.au/news/2013-10-01/graham-gone-more-offfield-changes-at-st-kilda Made a massive impression then, KFT. Rod Butters has slowly rebuilt his life in the past couple of years. He has beaten the drugs, the booze (bloody drugs again!) and financial hardship. It was an incredible fall from grace, but he's doing well now and helping others. Check out his interview at a little show produced at RMIT that scree...

Its way too premature to write off Richo. However, as a hypothetical if we did need to go down that path, I'd make a short list of 2 and get one of them. Mark Thompson or Ross Lyon. Bomber Thompson? LL are you aware of his latest well reported issues? Bomber is cooked, both mentally and physically,...

TMBK also admitted that Paddy's skin folds have never got under 60, whereas the elites are in the low 40's.That's a disgrace for someone in his fourth year. No wonder he can't run. What on earth is the coaching and fitness staff doing? It has also been reported that he does the minimum required. Wh...

Re: Richo on 360 transcript
I hear you LL, but what do you put the skin fold issue down to? That's something that after four years should have been corrected. That flows into everything else. Most players who return to preseason training with skin folds above 60 are put in the "fat group" and put on notice they won't...

I don't know about Tom, but Barry openly stated he'd never play for St.Kilda when we made a big play for him in the early 90's. Same as Greg Williams.

Richo mentioned in a presser, Dr. S, that Paddy's skin folds have never gone below 60. Most on AFL lists are in the low 40's. Paddy's physical condition after 4 years in the system is bewildering as it is inexcusable. Doesn't the club have access to the best in terms of diet, excercise, endocrinolog...

I think mental fitness is a factor but IMO its not the biggest issue, not by a long way. the problem is they have not been trained to pass the ball to each other, or how to handball to a player on the run or even make leads for players to pass the ball. Basically we have terrible fundamental skills...
