Rd 22, yes please
That team from round22 were the Bendigo Bombers who had absolutely nothing to play for.
We had everything to play for.
It was almost as if they were resigned to the fact that we would smash them from the first bounce.

Hardly worth referring back to...

Dempster hasn't earned his spot in the 22 - he only got in on reputation and the fact that he is RLs lovechild. We all know this - he shouldn't have played in the GF. With him in the side we are way too "top heavy" - When it comes to playing finals, i'd rather Jack Steven getting a game a...

Dempster is a handy depth player, who can come in a play when key players are injured. The thing about Dempster is you know that you will always be getting 100% every time. Now that's a comforting thought for a coach. Similar to Eddy, who is neither spectacular but a 100% player, which might explain...

I would think Geary is much more of a chance to replace Mini. I cannot fathom why Mini is still in the team. Yes, his tackling is reasonably good, but this defensive forward role is becoming a key element of many top teams. For example, Osborne pulled it off to perfection against Gilbert, whilst als...

Watson and Winderlich would be handy outs. Can't see them possibly beating us if those 2 miss Bombers have fixed us up past 2 times...wouldnt surprise if they really push us. We HAVE to make a statement this game. Why? Bulldogs, Pies, Cats are all making statements now, does that make them any clos...

I wonder how Jimmy would go with short burts in the middle...? Not a bad thought. Maybe even Raph if he can regain some match fitness. But I reckon Steven is worth a go there. Sorry but Jimmy and Raph arent midfielders. Jack will be but I doubt much if at all this season. Jimmy could be anything. H...

Lenny mentioned it after the game, said it was something they were keen to address and would keep working on. Actions not words... Other than Lenny though, we don't really have any stand out brilliant in and under players. Dal and Goddard are good. CJ can do his bit. Joey is serviceable. We don't h...

I don't think Ross planned on compromising our grunt for leg speed. Therefore the recruitment of Peake and Lovett wasn't to compensate for Ball. I reckon he just banked on Armo stepping up to the plate. True about Dal Santo, his in and under work, especially getting the clearances, is very underrate...

Clint Jones

Didn't get to see the game, but read in the paper that Clint had the job on Hodge, who had a best on ground performance.

Dirty day for Jonesy or was he alright in other aspects?

As I mentioned elsewhere, Kosi is far from our worst tackler out of our forwards at the moment.
Have you got the stats?

Turning the ball over regularly and gifting opposition goals would be defensive flaws... You'd think so. But for whatever reason, it doesn't seem to be an issue. Skills appear (from the outside) to be the least significant factor in someone getting a game or not. If we were sitting on the other end...

He dropped Dal and Milne without better replacements. . Yes he did for specific role reasons. On this we agree. This is different that the current Kosi situation which is form and not role related. I think we also agree that Kosi is "trying" to achieve the role that Lyon wants. Where I th...

He's not dropping everything, just making very bad decisions and if he does drop it there is no second effort. Has nothing to do with his hand, more to do with his lack of a football brain. Actually, I think his football brain is fine, except that he is thinking so hard about the right option he is...

Kosi on Roughead?

He would obviously be shredded to pieces by Buddy, but could Kosi possibly have Roughie covered given Roughead's 1. recent poor form (excluding last week against the dreadful lions) 2. less agile, stay-at-home style.

could just be the confidence booster kosi needs...

Goddard or Goodes

Who would you prefer in your team - Goddard in his 2010 form or Goodes in his peak brownlow form? Both are brilliant midfielders who can be very successful playing up forward. Goodes seems to be a better forward, and better in the hard ball gets. Goddard has better foot-skills, is a little bit more ...

I think it might be a useful experiment giving Ray a go in the forward line for at least a full half - not just a 10 minute burst - so that he can really settle in and take advantage of his exceptional overhead marking ability. I feel he could play a Jimmy Bartell type role given their similarities ...
