Re: Kudos for Adam Basil

Didn't Watters recruit this guy over the telephone? Not sure, St. Pav, but if he did, it's one of the few good things he did while he was in charge. No, that was Ashley Prescott... "The club can confirm it has parted ways with senior coach Scott Watters," the Saints said via Twitter on Fr...

No, sp, we originally had picks 24, 59, which we gave to the Hawks with Ben for 18, 19 and Shane Savage. No way he would still have been there at 24.

Re: Adam Tralore

Seriously how many incredible young guns can these clubs have?

GWS: Cameron, Coniglio, Treloar, Shiel, Patton, Ward, Greene all look like being AA players. And what about Boyd and Kelly.

Ridiculous waste playing to 10,000 at best in western Sydney.

Re: Gloomy outlook in heartland

I think that the AFL has misread the tea leaves on this one. It clearly thought that it could create two new super-clubs in GC and GWS without losing the support of the followers of the 16 remaining clubs. Big gamble. No start-up club has ever been given the level of concessions that GC and GWS hav...

Re: Good Friday Footy in 2015!

Please don't have footy on Good Friday. If it DOES eventuate and the Saints are playing, I won't be going. And I know plenty of other Saints supporters who wouldn't go. Why not? I'll go along, give me something to do - what a boring day it is otherwise. You can choose not to but I'm not sure why th...

Re: Our salary cap/TPP

Remember that a club doesn't have to use the veterans list so the real max TPP is actually around 105+%. Which, as p66 states means that we probably have around 10% of the cap spare... which is around $1m. Easily enough for an elite free agent, or more likely two B+ players at the end of 2015/2016.

Re: This Years Draft.

With our first pick we need to grab one of McCartin, Wright, Lever or Goddard. After that it's mids all the way. Not sure we have any more currency left in terms of players to shop around for picks so I think it will be a fairly straight forward trade/draft period for us. The first 2 rounds are like...

Re: We are expected to finsh bottom this year!

Perhaps I am biaised but i look at the 2014 draw and see us possibly winning 10 games - WHY have the opposition supporters written us off as this years competition easy beats? You're biased. I see us having a chance in the first 2 games of the year, but am struggling to see where we can win another...

Re: Jolly and Gilbee Added to Coaching Panel

Shopping himself around local mpnfl clubs for $3000 a game.... Hopefully a club doesn't take that up and it brings them to there knees.... Brendon Lade did a similar thing at Karingal, albeit for a bit less cash.... I think now McEvoy has gone, our Ruckmen will need support... Jolly is only a part-...

I hadn't heard the Coaches Association bit before.
Makes sense though. I had thought it was curious that the Coaches' Association had had so little to say about SW's sacking.

Milney's well known for being a larrikin character around the team and club functions over the years. Re: Saints in Milne legal funds row

How about getting a lawyer you can afford like any other alleged rapist has to Why can't any other alleged rapist get financial assistance from those close to him/her? I think this is ridiculous. The players close to Milne, clearly, obviously think he is absolutely innocent. They love him, respect ...

But I was assured on here both these players were disgruntled and demanded to leave. Surely they wouldn't have extended if they were so disgruntled. So not only did we have Longer, Bruce, Delaney, and Weller declaring our club as choice No.1 to be traded to, we have the two "disgruntled" ...
