I wonder if there's a bit of player rebellion in this - their reaction to the resigning. With watters we had a lot of v influential senior players who just said 'no'. No players in that position today (jeez is that damning in itself - I can't think who in the whole team I'd call an 'influential play...

It cannot be the players' skill levels. How many times do we see players leave St Kilda and go on to glorious careers elsewhere. We are incapable of player development.

only via radio but commentators were saying they've practised that chipping it sideways crap all week - that's why they were doing it today. it's not some mad idea the players suddenly took it on themselves to try out.
