Re: Seating for Thursday Night

Any issues getting tickets.
3 of our 4 Saints memberships are saying no upgrades...with the other one I am able to purchase 2 seats.
Why would it be saying that...I haven't selected any upgrade
Feel like a luddite and its annoying me.

Re: New Saint Marches into his Dream Club

Is it the general consensus that he has a 'big tank'....or is that code for he is slow..?! Is it one or the other for all players (generalisation) that if you don't have solid leg speed then you are 'obviously' an endurance beast....or have a 'big tank'. I understand and recognise Jack's recent heal...

Re: Big Fish No 2

Are we falling for the Messiah fallacy again? A Martin would be nice but our continued improvement will probably come from the growth in younger players. Also, better team defence and ability to implement a game plan and change the system, particularly when we have lost control of the play will mak...

Re: Bombers trying to poach Caldwell

Hard to imagine anyone wanting to go to Essendon in the current climate Even cashed up... I’d be mindful of getting trapped in a toxic environment long term. If I backed my own talent... would be more inclined to chase money and success even in a shorter term with the opportunity of Getting what I ...

Re: Changes v Swans

Parker did no more or less than Sinclair

Ross - injured or rest / out
Bytel - in...get a few games into him

With the cluster of games ahead and short breaks we do need to rotate the squad a little
and keep 25 or so 'match fit'

Leadership group were consulted and they were comfortable with Carlisle being put up for trade.
Very average bloke by all reports and the players are more than happy if he is traded out.
Just what l was told.

Hopefully he is gone and by continuing to play him they are fattening him up for market.
Less value as an exchange / trade if he has been at Sandy for the 2nd half of the season...
Hopefully....

Re: Trade with Adelaide

So as Newnes is a free agent at seasons end we can discount a theory that our brains trust has finally got smart and have thought the season is shot, play Newnes in the ones to fatten him up for an end of season trade... No trade value if he is at Sandy....in a bottom 4 team... Yeah, we can discount...

Re: Saints watching Goldstein

The head coach arrived in 2014. Stanley, Hickey and Longer were all at his disposal in his first year at St Kilda and it was his job to assess the worth of these guys and build confidence in these guys and have a relationship with these guys so that they perform at their best for the team. It seems...

Re: 24 hours later

Newnes should be traded, not just dropped. Average and not going to improve. Bring in Coffield to play Newnes' position. An article during the week about forward entry efficiencies and ball retention once inside 50 (for memory) had Newnes' top 5 in the league. This is a case of stats not being reali...

Re: Weller

Obviously no trade value....not even to GC. And he played how many games in 2018 ! Agree with the above post - Richo obviously had his jumper pulled on this, most likely no say in it at all. Astonishing that he played so often this year. How else were we going to know if he had trade value or not??...

Re: Should we let Newnes explore elsewhere?

No. Rather than "let" him explore I'd be hoping that he's ENCOURAGED to explore. He's the perfect embodiment of the stagnation and mediocrity that now pervades our ranks. He is definitely not rated inside the club as a leader any longer (he was at the start of the year). His 1 tackle in t...

Re: We are a laughing stock

Apparently at the presentation Lethlean offered Shiel a drink, "tea, water, anything you want Dylan, we've got it!" Anyway Dylan asked for a coke, but they didn't have any and all the staff had gone off on break, so Lethlean ducks off to 7-11 to grab some but got lost and couldn't find hi...

Lethlean says Dan will bring a lot to the club. Medicals to be done. Thought we were devoted to not trading away good picks. Geez what game is Simon playing. If he does backflip on 'not trading our picks away' then will he backflip on 'Richo is the coach for the future' Rip off the bandaid, Simon. ...

Re: Throwaway comment on Buckley interview

Just on Buckley and the media, as much as I despise the Filth, I find him the best of all the coaches in an interview. When he's on TV, I just sit there hanging on every word. Remember when he said he didn't tag Tom Mitchell because although he gets a lot of ball, "he doesn't hurt you?" T...

Injured or psychologically out the door for whatever reason. Hopefully out the door Yeah I've been really harsh on him this year and he deserved every bit of it.
