He was actually listed as 77kg, played 250 games so he was certainly a very good footballer. Would mick get a game for the saints today?

So what have the current lot of hbf's being doing for the past 3 years then?

I believe Carlton cleared their debt in record time as did another club with about $10 million in debt. Not sure how they did it though.

I've seen Parker a number of times this year and while he has talent it is still a big risk. He had troubled teen years and has only in the last 2 years had any impact at WAFL level. He has potential but not much would have to go wrong off the field for it to all blow up High risk high reward - hop...

saw him on Perth Ch 7 news, he spoke in a way that had me worried, saying he has struggled with off-field stuff. Has a partner who looks teenage, and a baby too. Don't know if he can make it in a strange city with no family support network. Always a problem with the noongar boys but hopefully can g...

Re: How’s this for a forward line?

I'd play Membrey over Bruce. He's generally much more useful, except that he can't really be a relief ruck. If McCartin and King come good I can't see much of a future for Bruce, though I hope I'm wrong. King's youth will buy him a bit of time though. And who knows if Battle and Marshall will make ...

Maybe "Young young"...that worked for a certain radio caller for many years, he was a champion caller but was laid off because he was too old, may have been Smokey Dawson , replaced on 6PR by a couple of duds after 1732 games.

Re: Rate our draft

Lots of pros and cons with this draft overall and our new recruits. Firstly the most important thing is now that we get behind each player but let's review Max king Pros Most know about max so in summary could be gun forward, great hand, tall ,long arms, not fussed if he us thin ie dustin Fletcher ...

Re: St Kilda are the laughing stock of the AFL

I think the comp would've laughed at us if we didn't pick up a player who was widely considered to be worthy of a top pick. It's delicious to think that within two years there's every chance that we'll get Ben off the Suns. Regarding midfield class, I would say that these blokes on our list have th...

Re: St Kilda are the laughing stock of the AFL

Similarly ... Marshall, Membrey , Battle, McCartin etc.. would be unstoppable with quality delivery. You serious? That's currently a very very average fwd line at best. Marshall? Has great potential, but as of this stage has barely kicked a goal. Membry? Our best fwd. But he's a 3rd tall. A very go...

Don't tell me you are going to have long, Lonie and Gresham all playing as midfielders? Very unbalanced and a question mark on a couple of those players. Apart from that....excellent..:)

Re: Rate our draft

I think they missed the boat a bit, needed a couple of powerhouse midfielders and didn't do it. Bytel has been injured a fair bit, so hard to rate that one. Young is not what we needed, forward pockets are dime a dozen. King is no 4 so enough said, but picked himself did'nt he. Don't know a lot abou...

Re: Rate our draft

Bytel, according to Luke Power, was considered a possible top 10 pick last year, and averaged mid 30s possessions per game. Was injured all of this year. As far as the others (aside from King) are concerned I have absolutely no idea who they are and what they're like. I'm assuming most on here woul...

Reasonable belief that Longy wont be just a small forward by the end of next year. Gotta be frank and say that I cant see him playing in any other position than half forward flank or the pocket and that is at his best. If you are thinking about the midfield then you must know a lot more than me. Ho...

- Nicholas Hind, Essendon VFL

That makes 3/5 draftees mature aged recruits.
Young is a small forward, if it is the one I am thinking of. If so where will he fit, we already have long and Lonie at 70kg each?
