Got to give ourselves the best chance of playing finals. Playing our best players gives us the best opportunity. Only a game outside of the 8 can't give up just yet.

Plus we have played more players than any other club outside of the GC.

Selwood is a MASSIVE out. Gives me hope against a quality team full of confidence. If Joey does get up and isn't a late exclusion, I reckon we have the advantage in the middle. The Cats have really relied on Selwood to win the clearances with Bartel playing all over the place and no Ablett Jnr. If w...

We are knocking on the door of a final eight berth, so any experienced player who is showing some form, will get a senior gig over inexperienced bodies who are still developing, no matter how promising they may look. Clearly Kosi defies that trend and is so far off form that it aint funny. Geelong'...

Still, Armo, Steven and McEvoy being regulars is a positive. And we've used more players than any team except GC so far this year. Can't complain about playing the kids imo.

I can't see any other reason for naming him as emergency.
Kosi for Blake and Polo for Joey are definitely on the cards if they don't come up in time.

Back to the Future with that side or reliving the past? That side has been good but not good enough when it counts the most. So much for playing the kids. The kids get one, maybe two weeks if they're lucky. How's that enough time to get into the hurly burly of it all? I'd like to see Sippo b...

Blake / Mcevoy ruck duo has worked best for us this year. Joey is an obvious inclusion.

Blake was in great form before he got injured. Good inclusions.

I see Johnson kicked five for Sandringham at the weekend and Tommy Walsh also kicked a couple playing in second ruck. Sippo also knows where the goals are. Many were reasonably impressed with Gamble's game in the seniors (despite his lack of goals). So we may already have a few candidates without h...

His contract expires at the end of next year. By the start of the 2013 season I reckon he will be our captain and the highest paid player on our list. No reason for him to leave. And I reckon as long as Ross is around we will have that club success that Goddard desires (playing finals and in the hun...

I hope if the Saints trade they don't go for ageing players and give away picks. Straight swaps or trade a few of our older guys for picks. GIve them a chance at another club instead of finishing their career. Well, give them that opportunity anyway. Realistically, Bate from the Dees could happed. I...

But who knows what sort of player Wellingham may have been if he came to the Saints. Would he have the same opportunities? Coaches that could get the best out of him? Did he knuckle down because he was trade bait and was on the chopping block at the Pies? Who knows... Anyway, no use dwelling on wha...

The fact that the Pies were willing to give up Wellingham to North in order to get Ball says that they would have done a straight swap/with a pick with us (Wellingham/pick + for Ball). You cannot be certain but you would have to think that the Pies put that offer on the table but the Saints weren't ...
