Re: Roughead
Interested as to how anyone on here knows what he does and also why do we need to know. No one knows what he does and that's why we want to know. With all of the pressure around the soft cap, it's more important (and interesting) than ever to have a basic understanding of what those with seemingly ...

Re: It’s very hard to wash your clothes with no detergent
It's been even harder to rid Ben Dixon's stench from Moorabbin. Honestly, this bloke owes us money as he put himself on the record to say that every team needs a goalkicking coach and if it didn't work then he, should he be a goalkicking coach, would gladly return his pay. Well, Membrey (who was one...

Re: Relevant again…you betcha!
Butler and Hill- if they're named in Rd 1 (unless as emergencies) then why bother What a ridiculous statement! Hill is a genuine gun. Great user of the footy. Butler's 2020 season was superb and very stiff not to be rewarded with an AA selection. Ross may be just the tonic for them to find their mo...

Re: Players Ross will love
Ross is on the record as to how he couldn't understand why Hill wasn't playing on the wing given that's what we recruited him for. Hill played his best under Ross on the wing so I'd say that he'd be more relieved than nervous.
A few of Ross' favourite's IMO: Dougs, Hill, Windy, Jones, and D-Mac

Of course he's salty and would go in to bat for him as Ratt's ultimate failure as our coach is an extension of Merrick's failure as his mentor.

Re: BJ for assistant coach
Goddard considers himself a Bombers person, he has stated this publicly on numerous occassions when asked! Don't want him back now , he can piss off as far as I am concerned.. I bet he'd like to take those comments back now that this is all happening! He should put his hand up to go and coach them ...

Re: Non release of Review findings
Members deserve the entire report where names can be changed to protect privacy. A member of the media will no doubt get access to it so why shouldn't the most important stakeholders (us) be privy also? Too risky IMHO - other clubs will be straight onto it and pick it apart. Asif other clubs would ...

Re: Non release of Review findings
They are obliged to provide an annual financial report for stakeholders so I can't see how an urgent review into football operations wouldn't also fall into the same category. This isn't just about Ratten as Basset said there "were a bunch of other things" that isn't being done properly. ...

Re: Non release of Review findings
They have no obligation to release the full details. They've just sacked a guy. Explaining why in detail would only humiliate an already humiliated coach. Ever thought of that? I'm sure Ratten's family and friends would love all his dirty linen displayed to the public. Some things should be kept in...

Re: Non release of Review findings
They are going to release them, they explicitly said that. Basset said that they would only release the "high level findings of the review". Members deserve the entire report where names can be changed to protect privacy. A member of the media will no doubt get access to it so why shouldn...

Operation Anderson
With the JDG fund remaining untouched, coupled with retirements and Hanners ceased superannuation, surely we'd have the biggest of "warchests" come this time next year? With that in min, Noah Anderson should be our number 1 priority. Surely Deano would be pushing this one pretty hard...

Re: Greiser to the backline?
She should be in defence. She runs at the ball but knows she can't turn and will likely get caught. She gets here hands to heaps of kicks but can't clunk marks and could be a 50m kicking weapon,on rebound, out of defence, with Shierlaw as a very mobile CHF target with great hands. I called this a w...

Yeah she can play anywhere. If we had two of her we’d be laughing but she’s the most dangerous forward we’ve got so I’d probably be keen to keep her thereSainternist wrote: ↑Fri 23 Sep 2022 7:12pm NDS put Ginger Shierlaw in the backline after that disastrous first quarter against Melbourne and that seemed to work.

Greiser to the backline?
We seem to be struggling with oppo tall forwards in addition to not being able to clear the d50 efficiently, I reckon it’s time for G to be moved into the backline. She’s an excellent (and long) field kick, strong body, and good hands. Would be similar to McCartins redeployment at the Swans I reckon...
