Re: Who made the phone call?

These guys are good fun. Gave us a laugh on that miserable, cold trip to that sh*thole stadium in Geelong last year.

But it just doesn't work when played back over the loudspeakers.

Re: What do we want for $800,000 pa?

Who gives a sh*t? We gave up almost nothing in picks/players. We lose our 2019 2nd round pick which could be as high as pick 19. Probably pick 21-24. Not to mention reputational damage and a perception we are a retirement village or a 'jobs for mates' amateur club and that we were 'desperate' and '...

Re: Simon (Lethlean) says...

What exactly have we given up for Hannebury? It seems like very little to me and he could still work out. We got Hannebery and pick No. 28 in the draft in exchange for pick No. 39 (acquired from WCE) a future second-round selection. But the real problem was giving him a 5-year-contract for around $...

I don't get the 8oz coffee to 10oz. 8oz is standard everywhere. They're not going to give you an extra shot either, just fill it will more milk. [emoji1785]

I had lots if problems too. Netflix works flawlessly even at 4k so I don't think it's NBN. If it's not Kayo, I'm wondering if my computer may be the problem.

Re: Geary still skipper for 2019? Hannebery VC?

Only the club and players will know what kind of job Geary was doing, but the overall team performance was as bad as it can be. I'd be keen to see a change. Ideally someone like Seb Ross with Hannebury helpling him out. The big issue with Geary for me is that there are times where he really should b...

Re: PICK 41 - JACK BYTEL - ST KILDA

Doesn't really matter what we think. I trust our recruiters and med staff are confident he can be a long term player. They wouldn't have drafted him otherwise. Heard a rumour he dominated as a 17 year old. Only reason he didn't this year was because of the back issue. He should have gone alot highe...

Re: PICK 41 - JACK BYTEL - ST KILDA

Great pickup at 41. Should have gone alot higher, but didn't due to injuries. He will be fine. He has a bulging disc! How do you know he will be fine? Highlights look excellent but that injury is really worrying. Maybe our medical staff went over him and talked to him like they would have for all o...

Our new elite facility is getting extended and debt is going down. Sounds pretty good to me. Hopefully the onfield turns around next year.

Re: How’s this for a forward line?

Paddy will be trade bait at year's end.....a good position to be in having forwards competing for spots. Despite seemingly having a plethora of forwards, we didn't kick anywhere near enough winning scores this year so we still don't have that mix right (inaccurate kicking didn't help) . We spent pi...

Re: How’s this for a forward line?

Could we use King in the ruck/foward role? He would probably be an upgrade on Marshall. Paddy and Membrey as the permanent forwards and maybe try Bruce in defence again. Bruce is better as a forward, but he's too good to waste and we now have far too many now.

Bytel looks like a really good player, but a bulging disc?! They don't just go away and treatment for it is not great. I worry this is going to cause him problems all through his career.

Re: How’s this for a forward line?

We will lose one or two of our key forwards over the years for little return due to lack of opportunity. I think the "choosing the best player" idea is not very smart for team balance.
