Re: 2017....WHAT WAS IT?

General points: McCartin and Goddard injured all year stifled their development and impacted our team Played Suns, Lions and Blues once. Bit unlucky there since other teams in the 8 played them all twice. Great run of 4 wins, smashed the tigers, i think we were sitting 5th and then 3 shocking losses...

Re: Twenty years ago today

as a youngster i remember that the win over port adelaide (pretty sure it was port adelaide) confirmed that we finished on top of the ladder for the first time as a young st.kilda supporter. i couldnt wait to go to high school and rub it in. most kids were talking about di however after her tragic a...

Luke Dunstan 10 goals 9 in 17 games

You are right, hit the post 5 times during the year

Re: Bruce Accuracy

Far from excellent. Add how many he kicked out on the full. Statistically we had five forwards that really should have had around 40+ goal seasons. our F50 entries and delivery was completely unacceptable. If this does not improve in 2018 then it is bye, bye Richo. The finishing, especially from Br...

Re: Bruce Accuracy

Looking to 2018, can the side afford to have such an erratic kick as Josh Bruce at CHF, especially with Nick now retired? His kicking consistency seems very poor for a key forward. Membery kicks at around 73% efficiency, Rooyey at 70% and Josh at 57%! Lots of improvement needed if he is going to ma...

Re: Other games watch post effecting us

Its funny, I was playing with the ladder predictor over the weekend and basically my calculations for the finals are as follows: 1. GWS win the next 2 games (they are favorites and should win) 2. Tigers win the next 2 games (they should do it you would think) 3. Saints win the next 2 games (melb and...

Re: Josh Kelly house hunting in Melb?

So latest reports are Nth Melb have dropped out of race. They've got their sights on Dusty. Its now just between us and Carlton. Now the rumour is the house is in Elwood which would be a strong indication it is us as you would think he's buying a house close to work. I would think we'd be a better ...

Re: Let Us All Stand for One Minute's Silence...

whilst i agree with your sentiment totally, what concerns me about the pies situation is their bags and bags of cash and they might poach some of our coaches/staff/trainers, etc, etc and any impact this might have to our rebuild now we (hopefully at least) are heading back up. my pies mates keep say...

we lost the game with terribad kicking in the 2nd quarter

dees were fantastic in the 3rd and we looked pedestrian, they smashed us and were too good

to lose by only 30 points i guess was a minor positive

Re: Under the pump

I'm totally filthy we didn't pick Bont. Bont won f****** Footscray a flag and had we picked him over Jack this the most likely wouldn't have happened. I like JB and it's totally not his fault this Footscray disaster occurred though. from memory, wasn't bontempelli a speculative pick? as in top 20 a...

Bad luck for Cam, but a total of seven will have to be moved off the Senior list. So far, Curren, Delaney, and Shenton. My tip is Eli, Tom Lee, Murdoch, and Sam Fisher are yet to go. Anyone see it differently? really want murdoch and eli to stay, not sure how we can do it though. think murdoch has ...

i think because the pies already drafted 2 free agents they get nothing.

thought gresham's was better than buddies, particularly the moment in the game when it happened (geelong hit the front by 9 points with 5 minutes to go), but am probably being biased. that being said, wight's goal in the 1st vs the swans was miraculous not sure why dont talk about that one much, inc...

it was so disappointing with the essendon drugs saga that carlise didnt play this year, and also that freeman was injured as well, basically we had the same team as last year with the addition of rice (also injured) and a young player i knew nothing of called gresham. he is a special player am absol...

Re: 2016 delistings

Looking at the list and that the progression has been made to probably just miss finals ( although North could help us here) one would hope natural progression will see us in the 8 next season. That said staying the same is going backwards. Retire: Fisher, Out: Curren, Lee, Delaney ( Maybe although...
