Re: Saints still in finals hunt!

It's over, PS. Love the humour and optimism, but it's season over. We are not even in the same galaxy as Sydney as a football club and team. And now, I'm going to turn on the iTunes and listen to a little song about our 2018 season, from the legendary Big O, called "It's over!"

Re: Where is the leadership?

On the topic of leadership, it seems like the coaches are trying to force Geary to play a more prominent role as captain instead of doing what he's good at. Geary is one of the top few lock down small defenders in the league and can shut out elite small forwards regularly, but he is being freed up ...

How's Hickey gone against a good ruck????? Apart from one moment, s***!!!!! Nothing has changed with Tom, still the same, bigboy BOG!!!!! Hickey has passed Longer’s season quota of goals, marks and kicks in one game, so I’d say he’s doing well That was just in that one play. Yeah, your clueless Kos...

Re: Apologize to the fans Richo

Time to go. I reckon they won’t pull the trigger though. Ever since Richmond won a flag it’s de rigueur to keep a coach who stinks in case they manage to turn things around. The only thing AR could turn around is the team bus. Even then he'd struggle. He's a minibus. Not even half a coach. Don't be...

Re: Petracca v Paddy put to rest

With Petracca being dropped this week by Melbourne who, to avoid attention have used his dog bite and excuse for him not being in the team, and paddy’s really ‘positive’ game on Saturday...I think we can all breathe a sigh of relief that Paddy was the right choice. He will be a very good player for...

Re: Team vs. Hawks

If true, this suggests Armitage coming in for Newnes? The two posters on here who have the inside track are tony74 and StoneCold - do either of you guys know if this is reliable intel? And if so, is AR thinking of playing Armo as a forward, because his field kicking was pretty unreliable in the gam...

200 games for the saints. Puts him in the same category as only 30 other saints. Among them were the likes of Winmar, Barker, Neale, Smith, Dal Santo, Milne, Koschitzke, Colling, Hayes, Goddard, and Ditterich. That's pretty good company if you ask me. Well done Gilbo!

The boy's not done yet! He has 17 weeks left to prove himself. If he gets back to somewhere near full fitness and confidence,I believe you'll all be very pleased with what he can produce.

Re: Wayne Carey's Article re Demons reads for us too

Had a read of Carey's article re the demons basically having their season on the line this weekend and most of the stuff he was talking about, their lack of confidence etc basically he could have been talking about us. You do get the feeling if we can find some form and confidence from a wide range...

I'm worried about the orange one.
I believe he's the small forward/midfielder who lives under the feet of the big, strong forward!

Struggling, Con. Injuries and attitude. Thank goodness they refused to trade him to us. Elshaug was extremely keen on him. Happy to give up an early pick for him. Looks like we dodged a bullet there. St P you seem to know a bit about the opinions of Elshaug & Co - were you ever in the recruitin...

Re: Tim Membrey - where’s he at?

I think we've all forgotten how good his 2016 was. He was the pressuring, goal kicking forward we lacked last year. With his return, the emergence of Long and the presence of Gresham, we look well served now.

Re: The great Saints Conspiracy

Indeed, TD. I can't think of another example of the AFL allowing common sense to rule the day. It doesn't have a great track record in the area. I don't believe it did on this occasion, either, but let's agree to disagree on this one.
