Stanley is not, nor will ever be a FB

Im tipping Rhys for AA defender in 3 years from now.
if it doesnt work out - make sure you seek me out and say 'i told you so'
Re: Sam Fisher
I didn't say he won't make a defender.... Just not a FB.

Re: Sam Fisher
Sam Fisher is a running, rebound defender. He has never been a key position player. Would you have played Goddard on Cloke in recent times?
Bottom line is we need a 196cm+ defender or two, rather than slagging off Fisher for a role he is not really equipped to play, and one which he has only been asked to play in the past 12 months.

Re: Sam Fisher
In defence - there are very few backs that can hold Cloke at the moment
Humbly St. Kilda
Re: Sam Fisher
Fisher has played on and beaten
Barry Hall, Jonathon Brown, Matthew Richardson, Warren Tredrea, Matthew Pavlich and Buddy Franklin
He has also played on Cloke in the past....
If Sam is a running defender.... He is a slow one... He's played a loose rebounder before mainly in a cut off role, because of Blake, Hudghton and Dawson.... None of whom are on the list
Time to 'man up' Sam and take on the big guys
He's 192cm and 96kg he is big and experienced!!!!
Stanley is lightly framed and what happened last night will occur again

Re: Sam Fisher
It was a good effort last night, however Fisher, Dal & Milne need to stand up and back up the Skipper's effort. A week or so ago, Mark McClure suggested some of our senior players were coasting. I'm inclined to agree.BigMart wrote:On Fisher
Stop making weak as piss excuses about his fitness.... He like other missed some training...
He's been full time for 8 weeks... And he had the foundation pre injury... Not an excuse
MAKE HIM FULL BACK!!!!!!!!
He needs to do what Nick does.... Stand up and be counted
