Please look through the list at http://www.phpbb.com/styles/demo/3.0/ and tell me which one you want. This goes for everybody - if there are a couple of clear favourites then I will install them.

IT IS VERY IMPORTANT that before you reply that you check the version number of the style. You do that by clicking the "Overview" link at the top right of the page I linked to above after you have selected a style. If "phpBB Version(s)" says 3.0.10 then it is okay. Anything below that is not.

so the red based ones of- RedLight, Red stripes, Static red, Sliced, are all out

but Proglass red and Extremem Dark red- if you like it black - are possible.

hate most of the icons, but the 'elegance' icons are nice.

My eyeballs have been seared by the new scheme.
Can I recommend to posters that they look at these schemes, which are a
bit more traditional red, white and black -
- sliced (my pick, it's very Saintly)
- staticred
- redsteel
- reds

Anyone can help with the colour scheme. If none of the styles on that demo above take your fancy, go to http://www.colorizeit.com/browse/4/phpb ... tyles.html and start adjusting the colours until it matches something you like. For example, you can go to http://www.colorizeit.com/styles/phpbb- ... izeit.html and adjust the colour scheme by moving the sliders.

Post a screenshot of your result (and save the package by downloading it so you don't have to re-do it), and if it gets a few positive responses then I'll install it. Again, anything that says version 3.0.10 will comply (ie. "Software versions: 3.0.8 - 3.0.10" is fine, "Software versions: 3.0.8 - 3.0.9" is not).

only problem with those is they are not the required level 3.0.10- but are well below

but will have alook at the editing option battye suggested.

The proglass red scheme is OK, and it's 3.10, with maybe just a little colour tweaking.
Helion looks OK with the red-grey scheme chosen.

in the mean time the prosilver option is better for now- it's blue based

I like the prosilver style of posting if we could just get it in red qhite and black-

When I'm looking through the (hundreds of very unexciting) board styles, apart from the colour scheme, what am I looking for? What are the variables?

Can each board style be made over with any colour scheme, or is it just the one shown?

Can each board style format be rearranged -- eg, putting the poster's id and avatar on the left (unlike our current board now) or are they fixed for each particular board style?

Can the icons be selected too, or does each board style have only the style shown?

Are there other variables we need to consider?

In the end, do we all use the same board, or do we end up customising our own? (I definitely prefer the feeling that we're all on the same page!)

I'm very keen for Saintsational to be at least as graphically appealing as it was before. Sorry I'm so ignorant about the process.

If you follow the http://www.colorizeit.com/browse/4/phpb ... tyles.html link it is easier to see which styles fit the system-3.0.10
and there are only about 6-8 ,colourizeit Helion, pro glass red, pro_ubuntu_ lucid , pro-ubuntu, Phantom, ultra blue, Air
and those who are even more PC savvy than me may be able to change some to red black and white,


the Old SS had 3 board styles possible so people could select-
I personaly prefer typing black onto white/light box some prefer white on black,

and each style seems to have differant layout. ( intersting that the prosilver style has the time of your entry to SS as well as the date but not the year.

Just that it works on version 3.0.10.

If it is on that website ColorizeIt that I linked to above then you can adjust the colours, otherwise it is what is shown.

It's fixed in the template.

You can select your own based on what is installed. At the moment there is this one (prosilver_red) and a blue one (prosilver) which you can select under User Control Panel -> Board preferences.
