Pick one looking like a colossal f*ck up.

I don't blame Paddy because he didn't pick himself but I have huge doubts over Trout's ability.

Questions need to be asked.

There was nothing wrong with Paddy's game yesterday (except for one dropped mark). A lot to like.

Of course after a loss everyone goes nuts and get fatalistic, ignoring all the other results this season and failing to grasp how tight this season is and how hard it is to get th 4 points.

We've only been slightly off the last 2 weeks and this season that means you get done by almost anybody.

This forum is hilarious
It's boom or bust eh?
What's the point comparing paddy with roo or buckets, they are different eras.
Paddy will be fine once we get some decent mids.
Selection over the last few weeks has been horrendous.
Bruce should be in the 1's don't know how it will happen now.

All three are/were Key forwards... big guys who mark a ball for a living!

He was pick one, that's a fact, we chose him as the best talent in Australia... he is a key forward with supposed elite talent?

He is not athletically gifted, not physically gifted so he should be a gifted player... what is elite skill that got him chosen as #1

Riewoldt - Athletic ability, great hands
Goddard - Elite Kick, reading of the game
Cooney - explosive pace, ball winning
Delidio - skill and versatility and great athlete
Murphy - Ball winning and skill
Gibbs - Kicking and skill
Kruzer - Size + Skill and mobility
Watts - Size and mobility and kicking
Scully - Running power and kicking
Swallow - ball winning skill
Patton - Size and Power
Boyd - As above
Whitfield - Outside class/skill/movement with ball

Not all of those players have gone as planned, few are the best players taken in their draft... most have taken time...but there was an obvious reason at the time that they were taken at Pick One

An elite trait
No major deficiency

Paddy is meant to be an elite contested mark
However he had a major deficiency

Slightly off? We got thrashed twice on our own dung heap. The Swans are a bottom 6 side.
We are tenth.
That is where we are at.
