So deserved to be a premiership winning mark.
Still might be :)
I guess so, though it will get lost a bit if we don't win this week.
Given he took that mark and kicked our last goal - it could have been the winning goal. There would have been great headlines of him "Marking the cup " with that mark etc. One of the most exciting moments I've had at the footy ever. The roar was amazing.

The mark will certainly be better remembered if we end up winning this week. It deserves to be.

I hope you're right, thirty-seven. :) I can't think of many choices that would exceed the lameness of that one!

Leo Sayer has had his mug on the TV a bit recently.

I dare say he is available.

Metallicaaaaaaaaa.....Maybe too expensive and not family friendly but who cares? They are here and they are rocking!

Would settle for a Melbourn band such as Jet though.

I heard on the radio today rumours have Lionell, Pink and ACDC doing the rounds. Personnaly, I went to see Weddings, Parties, Anything last week and think they'd go down quite nicely (and Mick Thomas is a massive Saints fan to boot)

LIONEL RITCHIE

As the pre game entertainment

Good Grief..i hope the siren wakes me when tne game starts
1.It's Lionel Richie not Ritchie

2.He sang at the Opening Ceremony of the Atlanta Olympics

3.Songs like "All Night Long" and "Dancing on the Ceiling" are fantastic party songs.

4.He is a worldwide superstar and has sold millions of albums

5.Faith No More had their biggest hit with a cover of a Lionel Richie song.

I personally would be very excited to see him and I'm sure it would get worldwide media attention.

Wake up and think beyond your beer gut!

Gee, I've really missed this place.....not

(Chorus)
Say you, say me; say it for always
That's the way it should be
Say you, say me; say it together
Naturally

I had a dream I had an awesome dream
People in the park playing games in the dark
And what they played was a masquerade
And from behind of walls of doubt a voice was crying out

Say you, say me... (Chorus)

As we go down life's lonesome highway
Seems the hardest thing to do is to find a friend or two
A helping hand - Some one who understands
That when you feel you've lost your way
You've got some one there to say "I'll show you"

(Chorus)

So you think you know the answers - Oh no
'Cause the whole world has got you dancing
That's right - I'm telling you
It's time to start believing - Oh yes
Believing who you are: You are a shining star

(Chorus)

Say it together... naturally

How about an Elvis impersonator for the pre match entertainment, seeing Elvis died from a hamburger overdose in '77.

The only reason I didn't spit on JD Being-paid-a-fortunes head (and I could have, the pic below was my view of it) was the fact he sung their old songs, and not his new krud.

He didn't do justice to them, but at least he didn't absolutely slaughter them!

Still nothing compared to how bad the national anthem singers were (Still no idea who they are!)

Good omen- I think the last time he had a hit was when the last draw happened.

I think it'd be good... he can sing 'running with the night', 'dancing on the ceiling' and 'All night long', then we'll win the flag.

Infinitely better than an INXS cover band followed by a draw.

That gave me a giggle

I say what the hell change it up! To be honest when the pre game entertainment is on I am usually watching the crowd, seeing who is mugging for the camera and how dressed up in their teams colours people are.
But if they can pull in a big name on the fly in one week then go for it.

I thought JF was good last year! At least his songs were...

But at least, no matter how bad the AFL pre-ent is, the NRL is always worse!!!

I wouldn't say that.

I went to both the AFL and NRL GF's in 2007, and the NRL gave the AFL a drubbing!

AFL had JET (who you could not hear performed 2 songs) and Nat-Bass *shudder* sang the anthem. Thank god she didn't sing any of her 'own' songs.

NRL had the Hoodoo Gurus and Shannon Noll, as well as a fireworks and light show display. The sound was awesome, the entire set up was worthy of a concert.

Honestly, the AFL have a bit of work to do to catch up to the NRL in that area.

1. Who cares?
2. That is great for him...and it should have been an American.
3. So are songs like Eagle Rock, Working Class Man and The Boys Light Up.
4. The Spice Girls achieved that feat also...should we get them?
5. Maybe Lipps Inc could come as Pseudo Echo had their biggest with Funky Town!

I want an Aussie act to perform at the Australian Football League Grand Final...not a former member of the Commodores.

I don't think it can be that hard to find an Aussie to fit the bill!
