Steven, Stanley and ...
Play the kid we hear from there know it alls. And yet, most of our "kids" seem to have zero football ability. What we need to do, like Malthouse did, is "churn the kids" until you can find players who actually have at least one skill. Jack Steven is utterly useless. He can't run, kick (unless he is within twenty metres of goal), handball or think. This was obvious from his first game. I was prepared to wait for Rhys Stanley, but he has shown no improvement what so ever. Churn them and try someone else.

At least Stevens attack on the ball is fantastic. Effort, Effort and Effort. He's got it and he'll probably be labelled RLs new love child.perfectionist wrote:Play the kid we hear from there know it alls. And yet, most of our "kids" seem to have zero football ability. he can play a bit, but is certainly not a star yet. could be the next montagna, but if that's the case we'll have to wait another three or four years for him to hit a grade.perfectionist wrote:Steven is a gun. How pathetic. He ain't and we will be nowhere if we think his is. Sidebottom is a gun, Beams is a gun, etc. Take the blinkers off.
We won. Be happy. He was good and will only get better. Michael Tuck played 50 reserves games before he was a regular. He will be a very good player for our club if he gets his groins right.perfectionist wrote:Steven is a gun. How pathetic. He ain't and we will be nowhere if we think his is. Harsh OP.
Steven was good tonight and as Leigh Matthews said got better as the game went on.
Stanley was unsighted but it wasn't a night for him.
Wont see him and Kosi in the same team soon.

Lance or James??
There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)

I only rate contested possessions for a potential premiership player, and he had none.SaintSimmo wrote:Dont know which game your watching but Steven was one of our best players tonight, his attack on the ball and his tackling was fantastic. Very dangerous in the forward line probs our best forward.

hmmm, didnt check your stats on that one, he had 4 contested possessions, and i think his 13 touches and 2 goals were very important.perfectionist wrote:I only rate contested possessions for a potential premiership player, and he had none.SaintSimmo wrote:Dont know which game your watching but Steven was one of our best players tonight, his attack on the ball and his tackling was fantastic. You're very harsh, perfectionist. Steven was a good contributor tonight. Struggled early on trying to control the ball when it came in his reach. I guess the greasy conditions help his case much. To come to think about it, the delivery to the forwards is possibly one of the main reasons they looked ineffective for the most part.

Steven was very good.
Smith smacks in.
Stanley can go elsewhere if he wants. I'm over waiting for him to give me a reason to think he can play.

"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'
