Ayres as Director of Coaching??

I see that he HS today has a small throwaway "Gary Ayres has missed the coaching job but is in line for Director of Coaching". (Sorry, I can't do a link but it can be found in the "confidential").

Does anybody know if this has legs - for some reason there haven't been any whispers about

who knows? but it seems like a pretty simple deduction. whatever this "director of coaching" position is, it sounds like it would go to an experienced ex coach. someone like roos or matthews two days a week would be ideal, but if for some unfathomable reason they need a guy there every day, ayres might be a likely candidate. maybe he can coach sandy as well.

Put it in with the rest of the stuff flying around at the moment. It would be a very interesting exercise determining the percentage of fact v the percentage of crap !!

excuse my ignorance but who is dean?

FWIW - i have nothing against ayres getting a gig in the club in some capacity.

Ayres coached Hinkley and Laidley played with Watters. I suggest they are the 2 packages.

Actually, I like the idea that Bergholt suggested (above) that he could have a job at the club and be StK's man as coach of Sandy
