NEW coach Scott Watters wants Nick Riewoldt to captain St Kilda for a seventh season
>>>>>
In a positive note, Riewoldt said he was confident Brendon Goddard would stay at the Saints for the rest of his career, despite speculation he is the No.1 target for Greater Western Sydney at the end of next season.
"We're great mates and I'm confident in Brendon (staying)," Riewoldt said

Scott has not and will not create any new leaders with this group. As such a mature group we already have them. It is obvious Big Mac will become a leader Stephen King style minus the injuries however this gives me nothing.

I'm feeling a lot more positive than I was this time last year..I get the feeling Roo had had a big weight taken from his shoulders since Lyon left, and it sounds like the playing group are pretty keen. Looking forward to season 2012.

With that I am off to plough Hungarian vadge.
Vadge? Must be a root vegetable.

Altho 2011 was not his best year, he is probably one of the most inspirational players to ever play for the saints , dragging us over the line soooooo many times. A stand out captain for sure. Some of us have short memories , his kicking was not great this year but has been ok in the past. I fell honoured to watch him play each week. A dead set Champion.
