Chants for our retirees
One of the nice things they do in soccer is give a chant for any player or former player who is being honored during a game. eg for Kosi retiring they might all stand in the 23rd minute and applaud for a minute.
Getting a properly organised chant at an AFL game is always difficult but I reckon it would be great if we could do the MILNEY style chant for each player for one minute at the start of every quarter. Maybe not the first because people are still finding their seats or just getting into the game.
But I reckon it would be a great tribute if we could do MILNEY for the first minute of the 2nd quarter, BLAKEY for the first minute of the third quarter, and KOSI for the first minute of the last quarter. Kosi is likely to either be subbed on or subbed off at some stage but as long he's there it doesn't matter.
It would need the support of the Cheer Squad and/or the Moorabbin Wing to get it started.
Would it work or am I just being overly sentimental?

Re: Chants for our retirees
It could work, but you might be running out of time to get it organized enough to make it work. The 1st thing I would do is contact Rory Sackville at the club RoryS@saints.com.au and see if he can help in promoting the idea
Beyond that I would post it on the other saints forums, True Sainters & Big Footy. You might also post it on places like The Moorabbin Wing facebook page and any other saints facebook pages you can find (there are quite a few of them)
Good Luck with it as it is a damn good idea, but like I said you may have left your run a bit late !!

There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. Over the past three years, I have been subjected to a <redacted>investigation followed by <redacted> witch hunt. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)
