...
Experienced running defender Sam Gilbert is also likely to miss up to the first five or six games as the Saints cautiously manage his return from foot surgery.

Shame for Arryn, he was really up against it to receive another contract without this injury.
I thought Gilbert was a fast healer?

Far from certain that he would have been picked in that period anyway, but can't be a good thing for the fate of his career which seems to be at the crossroads.

That's very disappointing all around. I wonder whether Gilbert's problem may be worse than we are being told
Not a good situation for Sippo either, who needs games to prove himself.
Best wishes to both for satisfactory recovery's.

Doesnt Gilbert have some super human healing powers that meant he would be back Rd 1 2014 and healing in half the time that injury normally takes?

Welcome back Saady for round 1 - good PR for us yet again!
As for Gilbo it's beyond a joke.

How is his form in the practice matches going or are we doing this season for marketing? Gilbert said to me in round 23 he would most likely miss nearly half the year so the way I see it he is ahead on schedule.

He was saying he might play NAB and should at least be ready for round one so he seems to have gone backwards. Some guys struggle for years with feet, they can be one of the hardest to mend.

To be honest what they tell supporters means jack from my experience. All I know is what he told me after the operation last year. From that information he seems to be ahead of schedule.

Gilbert - foot, two weeks.
I started with nothing and I've got most of it left!

Saad would be the only "ready" rookie upgrade. Look forward to seeing whether he lives up to the hype.

Re: Saints' Arryn Siposs out until mid-year with shoulder in
Totally forgot that he was a rookie - will be interesting to see whether he is upgraded ahead of Saad seeing as they play the same position (albeit differently).stinger wrote:FQF wrote:Saad would be the only "ready" rookie upgrade. Look forward to seeing whether he lives up to the hype.
Schneider.....?
If he is not upgraded then it's safe to say that he was not retained on the list for the purposes of playing.

wouldn't have been able to trade him, he was injured. Would have been just like Trengrove.matrix wrote:gilbert

We are a much better team with Gilbert than without him.
You are garbage - Enough said
