So sad that one so young should have to go through that ordeal. Condolences to the entire family.

a wonderful piece from Catherine-
cathreevy; No words can sum up the beautiful courageous person that was my sister in law. You had more humorous wit, attitude and loyalty than anyone I've met. You loved your family with all your being and fought with them by your side every step of the way. You never gave up and your fighting spirit was there until the end. Thank you for being my Aussie sister, for driving around listening to Tswift and country music with me, for teaching me every possible fact about the AFL and for giving my husband the inspiration to live his life to the fullest every day. I love you and am at peace knowing James has the most badass Guardian Angel in Heaven looking after him for the rest of his life. You're in my heart always Mooch

Terrible news and deepest sympathy to Nick and his parents.
No parents should go through this.
Twenty six is just an awful age to go. Sort of makes me embarrassed to have lived as long as I have.
She carried herself with dignity and pride. What memories they will have of her.
I hope Nick takes as much time as needed. Even if that meant retirement. Family is far bigger than the game.

I think his late Sister would detest him retiring due to this. Round 1 isn't until the start of April and I'd be surprised if he didn't play then. Can't see Roo playing much lead up stuff so may not physically be on top shape but that's fine.

I think you might find he is back into it quite quickly. There is only a certain amount of mourning that is 'healthy'.

Terrible news.
Deepest sympathy to Nick and the Riewoldt family and to all her friends.
Lost at 26 years is a heavy loss to everyone.

For those that haven't donated blood, it's a lot easier than you think. Even a wuss like me does it regularly.

Too right, Gershwin. Too much mourning can lead to unresolved grief issues, depression and post traumatic stress. I'm sure he'll know when it's time. Sympathies to the family. What a terrible loss at such a young age.

I started with nothing and I've got most of it left!
