Who's going to Welly??
Went last year but not this year.
Surely a few forumites are crossing the ditch for the main Anzac Day game?

Wish I could but have local footy. Good luck to those who go. Weather looks better there than here.

I have free tickets if I want them. Money isn't an issue. If you commit to something then you should follow through. Im committed and probably should be committed. Local footy is important to some. It is as important to me as the Saints. Maybe more these days.
Re: Who's going to Welly??
Sainters will win this, Carlton is nothing at present (have to say it).
Plenty of strip clubs down Courtenay Place, Wellington too (have to say that also .
Nice place when the wind is not blowing a friggin' Antractic gale.

USELESS FACT: The WADA case against Essendon (in Sydney as well) is exactly 10 years to the day that Australia qualified for the 2006 FIFA World Cup.

Ignoring that other rubbish; yes I'm going.
Had a good week and a half here already and doing a good job of helping the New Zealand economy along.
Hanging for a win against carlton. Don't reckon I've seen us beat them live since wild Robbie just missed that staging plick, dennis collins all those years ago.

Going over for the first time.
And seriously thinking we can win it this time.
Have also booked in for the post match thing at Queens wharf - does anyone know if the players are turning up to this?

The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.

You'd have to be trying pretty hard to miss a win against Carlton.karnaby wrote:Ignoring that other rubbish; yes I'm going.

You missed out on one of my favourite Saints games ever, when we beat them by 100 at Princes Park. I think it was our last game there for premiership points? Pretty great win.karnaby wrote:Ignoring that other rubbish; yes I'm going.

Really happy with our record against them over more recent years, I've just never been in Melbourne to see one live (Perth is far enough away that I'm lucky if I see 1 or 2 games a year in Vic)

It's late now to back out on this trip now P 66 just because Roo, Joey and Mav aren't playing.
We're going to support our club at its game on Saturday and I'm looking forward to the match.
Go Saints!

I'm flying out tonight... super excited to get to Welly & enjoy a fantastic weekend of footy & commemorating 100 years of ANZAC.
Theres apparently a brilliant ANZAC display at the Tepapa museum that free.
Look forward to meeting up with a few fellow Sainters over the ditch tomorrow.
