We lost..our turn-overs really killed us today, but there was a lot to like.

Bruce again confirmed that is a quality big forward witha well-rounded game. Hickey impressed again and is very good roving fora big guy. That last bit of play where he almost goaled was sublime.

Kids had a game today when there ball use was not good. ie Billings and say Sinclair who in previous games had been sublime just kep turning it over today.

2 late withdrawls and two KO's was a big handicap that would have unsettled the players and planned structures.

Terrible goal kicking blew out the margin. Effort was there. Game was gone at quarter time

That's just silly. It was Geary's fault.

The boys did alright - had every right to drop their heads and watch the clock, but hung in there. The difference between the sides was that they buried their chances and we butchered ours.
And gee Bruce really is the real deal - absolute gem

Saints were very brave today, proud of these boys

After the rookie and the captain got smashed we could have folded, but instead they toughed it out.

Though Weller was keeping Dangerfield quiet.

Eddie is a freak and in good form. Sowithout a payer like Geary there was no real good match up.

Crows must love the Blues- Jacobs and Eddie are 2 of their best.

Sitting in the Czech republic and I can clearly see it was Cam shentons fault, with poor gameday coaching from Richo.

Its obvious.

Today emphasised that if we get a gun mid...that it needs to be someone with sublime skills. ie not Dangerfield.

A little better ball use throughout the game and the scoreline will be a lot different. Need to generate less turn-overs as teams are so good at punishing those these days.

Boys tried hard, can't fault effort. I know most don't rate Shenton but he kept taking the game on all day. Yeah he made a couple of blues, but you wont see him looking backwards when he has the pill. Liked his game and his kicking today. Dempster played like he'd just seen a ghost.

IMHO we were physically 'smashed' in the contests today - a team full of hard edged bodies 'waltzed' through our tackles and physically 'punished' our younger guys today.

We really missed the mature bodies of Geary, Montagna and Roo out there.

We lost close to 600 games of experience by qtr time, and if not for poor set shots we could have been a lot closer. I am so proud of the way we crack in at every contest.
Bruce is a gun, Webster is getting better and better every week and his kicking is elite, Armo and Steven are now true leaders of our club and run their guts out, Weller was fantastic, Billings is looking like a midfielder, Delaney was great on Tex,
Longer and Hickey will make a scary combo by next year.
Win lose or draw this side will be fun to watch
