A 59 point win will put us above Port.

I think it will be similar to the Adelaide game with some positive periods but a decent loss.
30 points is my guess. If Armo is also out then ouch, 45.

Noticed David King is the only Herald Sun tipster to pick the Saints... Seeing he said we could not win a game this season, I think we may be in for a belting going on his expert opinion.
Hope not, hope the flog is right for once

He just loves it. All a joke to him.

Good on ya plugger, keep standing up to racists.

Unconfident about this game with Roo out, I must say. But at the moment we're always a chance, and that's a step up from last year. I tentatively predict a win.

My head tells me it will be a 30-40 point loss but my heart tells me anything is possible.

No Roo hurts so we need Bruce to get back to his best form after a couple quieter games.

I feel our gameplan matches up pretty well against port's, they are a run and carry sort team which plays well into our manic pressure style.

If we are to win this game we need to smash them in the tackle count and our forward 50 entries will need to tidy up, this is the one area that I feel has held us back all year. We have a really hard working midfield but since Dal Santo left we lack that precise ball use... This is one of the main reasons Schneider is a starting 18 player, he is probably our best user of the ball into the forward line, he just isn't capable of getting the big numbers.

Time to get the monkey off our back and talk about our game.

With Roo and Gilbo out, and coming off an 83 tackle game, our boys are due to have a big let down.
When you also factor in Maddie's match the week before, everything points to a lower pressure applied scenario from the Saints.

Pressure footy and turnovers is our biggest asset this year, and if that's down say 20 to 30% on normal a decent size loss is likely.
We are going to win so the only team in danger of being touched up is Port.

Well he is now a paid up member, so you would expect him to pick the Saints. :D

Intriguing, extraordinary thread. Plugger is the good guy in this one...you're the man! Clayton Davis sends it into the surreal.
I've heard of something called "topic creep" and I think this thread may have a case of it. Still...Saints not
without a chance on Sunday...twin talls McCartin and Bruce to kick 7 between them. Eli to find his mojo and chime in with 3.

2 of our previous 3 games against Port have been losses by less than a kick, and both were from dubious free kicks and 50 metre penalties.
I don't think we'll win, because we seem to struggle against Port, but I think it will be a narrow loss. Somewhere in the vicinity of 7 to 10 points.

Football logic is undeniable, as I would pontificate as a 13 year old. Just why the gods denied such logic still remains a mystery to me.
