Well done.

Nice work Ameet, you got a steal there.

Here's to no off season surgery and not so much nursing in 2016.

Great effort considering he doesnt get great delivery.

Well most of the time he gets awful delivery. So super effort.

Started the season really well. Quieter second half but still a fantastic effort. Apparently the Saints have had a player kick at least 50 goals in a season every year, apart from last year when Roo kicked 49, for the past 13 years.

Got looked after by the umpires which helps. When you average a free every forth game as a full forward defenders are on edge.

Practice makes perfect. Out there practicing goal kicking on Friday while the rest of the team was waiting for him on the bus.
Next year is gonna be a big one.

Very good year, unfortunately he tapered off towards the end but he definitely wasn't on his own there.

Mr Reliable in front of the goals , good set shot routine . I think it's 50 goals 15 points .. Very good strike rate.

Half of those 15 would have been banana or checkside because he struggles with them

So pleased he got 50, so much better than 49

Such an unexpected bonus for the Saints

Really, his last 10 weeks or so have been pretty ordinary.

Lets hope he can get another 50 next year.

Top effort especially considering we would be the worst club in the comp for efficiency into the forward 50

List of forwards who kicked goals this year and the number of frees they got per game:

2.0:
1.9: Charlie Dixon (41 goals)
1.8:
1.7:
1.6: Lance Franklin (47 goals)
1.5:
1.4: Kurt Tippett (39 goals)
1.3:
1.2: Tom Hawkins (46 goals)
1.1: Jack Riewoldt (50 goals), Tory Dickson (45 goals), Luke Breust (45 goals)
1.0: Josh Kennedy (75 goals), Jeremy Cameron (61 goals), Chad Wingard (53 goals), Jack Gunston (52 goals), Jay Schulz (44 goals), Tom Lynch (43 goals), Jarryd Roughead (43 goals)
0.9: Jesse Hogan (41 goals), Drew Petrie (39 goals)
0.8: Taylor Walker (55 goals), Josh Bruce (50 goals), Matthew Pavlich (39 goals)
0.7: Eddie Betts (58 goals), Mark Lecras (41 goals)
0.6:
0.5: Jake Stringer (54 goals), Josh Jenkins (42 goals)

So yeah, he's down towards the bottom of the list but not exactly on his lonesome there. The average is about 1.0 frees per game. He needed an extra 4 frees for the year to get him up to that mark. At his accuracy rate, that would have been an extra two or three goals across the whole year. Not really something to sook about.

First time since the G Train that our leading goal kicker wasn't Roo or Milney.
Let's hope for a few more next year in tangent with McCartin.

Roo would have kicked 50, but for some reason, he shanks pretty much everything. Needs to learn to dish off to someone like Savage or Monty, who can convert.
Taking a big grab 35 in front can inspire, but shanking it for a point is heartbreaking.

First half of the season was magnificent.
Was on track for 70.

Then dropped away
- defenders working him out?
- absolutely atrocious delivery
- started dropping a few marks
- looked to have lost a bit of confidence and was more tentative on his leads

But still a shining light.

From early on in the season when Bruchey got our heart rates elevated and kept slotting the 6 pointers with sweet regularity I was rapt for our good fortune. I'm Very happy for Josh to make it through the season in good shape while producing a memorable marking and goaling highlight to cap off my memory of his 2015 season.

Loving the Bruce ! :)
