Take it easy Bailey.
Would not want other clubs to realise just how good you are.
The later in the draft your name is called the better it is for St Kilda.

The more you know, the more you know you don't know.
When I was a young child, I knew that I knew so much about so much.
Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

Do we need more Backline players? Can he play elsewhere, or is he a future backline "star" ?

If I remember correctly Dean Rice played on the wing and half back flank. Maybe Bailey will do the same.-

We have pick 14 so it shouldn't be a problem.

But the club needs to decide at what pick will we choose not to match it. If some club rates him way above what we think, we should just let him go. And that cutoff point should be decided before the day of the draft.

I think if another club nominates him between 20 and 25 then there is nothing really we can do about it.

Sounds like an experimental desert recipe - Rice pudding with Baileys. Mmmmmm - that could work. Hopefully Rice is just as "delicious" (thanks Bruce).

Yes that is the way I see it too. Would like to get him but not at the cost of next years selections. Over 25 is OK.

If it was earlier than 20 that would be a big decision to make. 20-25 would take some thinking but should be fine. Over 25 it's a no-brainer.

Gee thats disappointing, if I was another club I wouldn't bother bidding on him, obviously a complete dud.

Well yeh your sarcasm is appreciated, it is clearly a double edged sword. Yes this might make him look worse to other clubs and it might mean we can obtain him easier in the draft without giving up as much but it does mean he is quite unfit compared to the majority of possible draftees. Might take him a while to build up an AFL standard tank.

im pretty sure his kicking ability and toughness more than make up for the fitness which i feel is the easiest part of the game to fix.

But what did he beep when our club tested him.

Rice with Baileys.
The Baileys label has just been taken over by Treasury Wine Estates and Ace has shares in TWE.
Mmmmmmmoney.

Didn't go so well for Siposs.

Terrible

I just ran a 12+ Yesterday and I'm in my 40s .... That's a shocking result!

A reasonably fit Year 9/10 student runs 12+

Most very fit kids run 13+

And Elite kids run 14+

This is just general sporty kids in PE

While it's not the be all and end all for assessing footy fitness (you don't get tackled or do continual repeat maximal efforts in a beep, it's a slow increasing burn)... It can really test aerobic base and mental toughness

Btw

Arryn Siposs was running around the 12 mark in the beep test in Y10 (before going into elite programs)
He never had a natural big engine which was always a concern... His smarts and skills helped him find and use the ball
But his athleticism and motor hurt his defensive pressure and second efforts
