We shouldn't expect too much from him.
Hopefully the young man gets through unscathed.
Start of hopefully a long journey back to match fitness then form, then maybe AFl selection not in the too distant future.
But small steps.

You are garbage - Enough said

That's actually very appropriate. The phrase comes from actors in ye olden days who if the audience thought were putting on a bad show would throw rotten fruit and boo them off stage. If you put on a good show and made it through without being hounded off by your audience, actors would do that bow thing with their lower legs crossed - hence the call from other actors to "break a leg" ie get through the whole show and so your bow. So I too hope Nathan breaks a leg!Griggsy wrote:Break a leg Nathan ...s***, I mean good luck!

I'm feeling really nervous for him already, can't imagine how he would be feeling right now.
All the best Nathan, hope you have a great game and get through it unscathed.

Great news, any footy is good footy you'd think and as Richo said in his pressr, it'll be a while before he's even considered for the 1's given how much footy he's missed, so best case scenario is he just plays uniterupted! Good luck to him!

Re: Freeman in VFL 2nds this week
He's been at full pace in training for 2 weeks according to Richo.
I'm betting he's done as many match-simulation type drills as possible with the footy - leading, contested work etc. Given the standard of the blokes he has been training with, I reckon the "drop" to VFL reserves will ensure that he's not working too much harder than he was at training.
I'm sure he's also done as much of the "meat and potatoes" work as possible. I remember our hamstring injuries fell by two-thirds in the first year after David Misson joined the club by using some different strengthening exercises.
Fingers crossed. I actually don't care whether he ends up playing any AFL footy for us, but for his own sanity and commitment to football, I hope he can string together the next 10 weeks in the VFL.
