It's a good thing that most civil engineering designs get peer reviewed before they are built.

Re: Thank this bloke for our loss today
Thought the sloppy first quarter where St Kilda probably were on top in general play but gave up a heap of cheap goals was what ended up costing the club the match. Umpires... Urgh... they're always shite...

Re: Thank this bloke for our loss today
This umpire is a Hawthorn supporter has been all his life. His cover photo on his twitter acc is the hawks premiership from last year. He should not have been allowed to umpire any hawks game. What the hell was/is the afl thinking.
I want to stand for something. I'm a loyal person and I think at the end of my career it will be great to look back and know that I'm a St Kilda person for life.

Re: Thank this bloke for our loss today
Probably because Leigh Fisher, an ex-St. Kilda player, was also officiating. The umpiring was definitely incompetent. The worst I have seen since the Collingwood match at the MCG in 2012, but we turned the ball over resulting in gifting the Hawks 8 goals according to Richo so we will need to look at that when they do the game review.
Your friendly neighbourhood samurai.

That the guy is a hawks supporter is disgraceful.

Re: Thank this bloke for our loss today
So we had an ex saints player desperately trying to prove he is not biased towards the saints - he goes completely the other way and is so biased towards whoever we play against!! And then we have our Hawks fanatic kid umpire getting jittery in the last quarter and made sure his hawks got over the line. At least the other umpire is a senior, and well respected umpire. But really Fisher should not get saints games just as much as that pimple headed hawks supporter not get hawks games.

How do you know he's a Hawks supporter? Because of the pic on his Twitter page?yipper wrote:So we had an ex saints player desperately trying to prove he is not biased towards the saints - he goes completely the other way and is so biased towards whoever we play against!! Here we go again! Its the Umpires! Its the Weather! It's the state of the ground! blah blah blah blah! TURNOVERS! by OUR team cost us the win! I was dirty on some of those 4th quarter decisions by the umps, but for Gods sake, if WE had managed to reduce clangers by ONE, the points would be ours! NO amount of bitching about, or online abusing of umpires will alter the fact that we shot ourselves in the foot! I'm SO sick of coming close in games only to lose by inefficiency and skill errors on OUR part. If we don't accept that reality, and do something about it, then we are doomed to repeat history.

Re: Thank this bloke for our loss today
I agree turn overs cost us. Noone has mentioned that shocker by Roo ar the 14 min of the last where he deliberately refused to handball to Minch and then kicked straight to a hawk. Turnover. Hawks goal. He really needs to stop by pulling those stunts where he ignores certain players. Especially younger ones. It is egotistical nonsense.
Im still furious about the Savage mark. Inexcusable by that ump.

Re: Thank this bloke for our loss today
Yes it was a bad turnover but your conspiracy theory about a list of players he will and won't pass to is a bit rich. And they didn't rush it straight down for a goal. There was a stoppage on the wing and fumbles by three of our experienced defenders leading to that goal.Con Gorozidis wrote:I agree turn overs cost us. Turnovers schmurnovers. The Hawks turned the ball over too. The umpires influenced the result of the game and they should measure what 15 metres looks like again.

Too late the screen shot of the Hawthorn supporting umpire who paid those BS not fifteens in front of our goal is already out there.saintbrat wrote:wolfpup wrote:
