Groundhog day. Lucky to get a couple of cheapies at the end. Missed another soda snap from 15m out early in the first qtr, just like last week. Not having the greatest of luck with the maggots either.

Didn't realise he's 190 cm. That's 6' 3" in the old imperial measure. Tall and strong. Going to be a very good player for us.

Gun being jumped on Acres. Has good attributes but awareness and decision-making under pressure remain big problems.

Solve them and we have a very good player.

Clueless and mediocre petty tyrant.

I said it after his first game a couple of seasons back (then he was injured) - this kid is going to be a star of the competition.

Still only 20 with 22 games under his belt. Still finding his feet. Looks a natural footballer. Will be very good I reckon. Just needs time to really find his way in the big time.

Shady's good is really good but his bad can be pretty bad too. Needs to be more consistent. Liked what I saw today.

I thought Acres was very good against North and particularly in heavy traffic.

While he probably played better against the Dess earlier in the year, today was in a much tougher game againsta better oppoent in North. Looks like he is at last starting to "arrive".

Members' Exclusive email- Richo praised Acres too. Hopefully he won't drop him like he did earlier.
He'll burn the Bluescum next week.
Drop D-Mac and maybe useless Gilbo. Half-back, we had a guy free with the ball and Gilbo gives away a holding free. You don't do that in professional sport.
LIABILITY and only had 7 disposals.

Acres was very good last night. Best game I've seen him play. The way he shrugged out of Ziebell's tackle and surge forward was super impressive.

Richo said in the presser it was the best game he had seen from Acres, even despite the Rising Star nom game. Just needs to string a few together, but he's on the right track

I remember being vey happy when we drafted him; liked his highlights reel. Knightmare rated him very highly at the time I believe.

Play him through the middle. That's his future and also Gresham's. We need more versatility at the clearances. At the moment we are way too dependent on Steven breaking clear.

Loved McKenzie's pace. Wright ain't slow either.
Some good kid here. Can't wait to see what tricks Gresham will have up his sleeve with another five years under his belt. Magician.

I thought his disposal was better last night which was a concern of mine with him. Hopefully as he gets his fitness up to lug that big frame around the ground, he'll continue to use the ball better and better and become a real weapon

he takes a little too long with ball in hand was caught badly once. otherwise, he's coming along very nicely and going to be a very good player.

In his first game he reefed a ball out of a contest with one hand, took the tackles and handed off.

That one involvement reeked of class.

Then injured, a sub and injured immediately on being introduced, leaving the field.

But that first game showed what he would bring - and he is continuing to show it.

Will be a star.

In one play in the middle last night 8cres was, dare I say it, Fyfe like. Me rikey. :D

As ex-president Peter Summers said:
