Love this kid. Hard as. Skilled too. Still building his body. Rebounding defender who can also play wing. Big part of our future success.

Saw him earlier in the season (Sandringham vs Casey). Our midfield was trounced that day, but he along with McKenzie were very prominent playing as rebounding half backs.
Has everything --- just needs another 5kg of muscle (same thing could be said of Wright and McKenzie).

Also trusted with the kicking out, which is a sign the coach has faith. Of course we have had our struggles in that area, and he did kick one directly to the oppositio ( but well outside 50), but he went at it hard and looked totally at home. Pleasing.

Team reaction to his first goal was magnificent to watch - of course any team would react that way but the goal was a beauty - grabbed it outside 50 and he had no hesitation in taking the shot on - magic moment

The other nice thing about that goal was that he received the ball from a hack kick out of the pack from that "beast mode" tool Mathieson - who a few Saints followers were hoping would last to our 2nd (3rd round) pick

Not that it mattered that he didn't last ..... because we would have gone White anyway

Agree- so glad we did not pick up Mathieson. His tactic to win free high kicks is an embarrassment . Perfect for the Spanish basketball team, but is a blight on the AFL. Some will say - win them any way you can,- but In my view is not the way our game should be played. Flog.
