Linen House sponsorship

Post: # 1032240Post Dr Spaceman »

On the way home from work I was listening to 3AW and they were discussing the Riewoldt "incident" and how it affects the brand (individual, club & sponsors) with some PR guru.

Anyways, it came out that the ABC had run an item earlier in the day suggesting Linen House were looking at pulling the plug.

In response to this the big wig from Linen House (didn't catch his name) rang 3AW whilst I was listening and VERY strongly denied that was the case and VERY, VERY strongly supported both Nick and the St Kilda Football Club.

And he sounded VERY, VERY, VERY genuine. :)

So you reckon they may even use the image in the promotion of their new Brazilian Doona Cover range?

Here it is...

One of St Kilda’s and Riewoldt’s biggest sponsors today vowed to continue supporting the club despite the naked picture scandal.

Riewoldt features semi-clothed in bed on Linen House’s website and billboards with the caption ‘‘sleep like a Saint’’.

Linen House director Michele Duncan told The Age the company would continue supporting the club.

‘‘We think Nick Riewoldt is a champion and a leader on the field so we are very proud of him,’’ she said.

‘‘Our contract is fine with the St Kilda Football Club and our relationship with Nick Riewoldt is the same as it always was.’’

Cracking first post mate, welcome aboard. And if you're selling whatever it is you're on, I'd love some for my Christmas break!
