Top 6 in 2018
The only way we can make the jump to top 6 in 2018 is
Billings needs to improve 30-40% by years end
Whitfield need to be traded to saints (our pick 1 (first round pick) and longer gets it done)
Rockliff should be targeted and got as a restricted free agent...just pay him
We use haws pic to get a quick midfielder
Whitfield and Rockliff add serious talent to our very same same midfield at the moment.
If roo goes around again it gives Paddy another year to improve.
the backline is good enough as is.
By 2019-20 we will be a very good side....(we only win a grand final of Paddy comes on...he doesn't...it will be very tricky)

Think he meant our first round pick, but it was worded pretty badlyajk wrote:pick 1, are you serious? agree get whitield but not pick one
Fortius quo Fidelius means Strength through Loyalty. . . I think

We definitely are missing a couple of A grade mids. Both need to be very clean with the ball and great decision makers, and preferably tall and fast !
Life is never more fun than when you're the underdog competing against the giants.

One could be a quality disposal with endurance (Josh Kelly like)
The second one could be a buster of packs, taller and prepared to run forward to take marks and kick goals (Petracca like)
Midfield clearances and clear winners are needed to make an effective forward line.
You need to protect the ball handler to increase posession efficiency

FYFE!! Get the biggest fish out there! He could transform our side! Looks at Dangerfield at the Cats! Forget everyone else and go for the big fish!! He is more than just a gun player! It will get the whole footy world talking about the Saints!! He will put bums on seats, memberships, hype!! Itd be the biggest cross contintent switch since Juddy!! Get it done Saints!

Martin or Fyfe. Either will do. This is exactly what we need, SW. Alas, it will never happen. We won't get either. We're just not attractive enough as a club. Too few members, not enough TV exposure in prime time slots, average sponsorship etc. We needed to get a flying start to the year, al a Richmond. We'd be off the radar already. Anyone who can offer the same money as us will trump us.Saint wagga wrote:FYFE!! Get the biggest fish out there! He could transform our side! Looks at Dangerfield at the Cats! How many big fish have we landed over the journey? Carlisle? Nobody else wanted him. Gehrig? He was cooked at the WCE and we got him for a bargain. Again, there were no other suitors. Hamill? No superstar, and like Gehrig he only came because we had the alleged legend, Blight. Lovett? Don't remind me. We were a laughing stock in the recruiting community for that howler. No disrespect to AR, but he's not the charismatic type who will lure anyone by his presence alone. I'm afraid we'll have to find and develop our own gems. It's always been thus, and always will be.
I started with nothing and I've got most of it left!
